No don't worry I understood, but I've heard other rumours too. Supposedly IGN have been on to say something about charging users for online gaming. This source came from a 360 user so I'm not holding my breath on that one, but you can never tell what the big-wigs are planning.

I don't like the sound of this. I understand that PSN as it is today is free but I hate the idea of missing out on things because i don't have a special subscription. I heard it will be $9.99 a month which, if the case, I wont be paying for that so I hope it's nothing too special like beta invites or anything.

where are you hearing this? i heard 3 of the 4 packages woul be $59.99 a year and the other would be $29.99 a year, which is pretty reasonable

Well this was bound to happen sooner or later anyway, you guys who are geting all whingy about it need to be aware of the fact that even though PSN is free and isn't as good as XBL it still cost Sony plenty of money to mantain. At least they will keep it free, i will pay for a yearly subscription as long as the online gaming is better and as long as the exclusive content we get does not go to unsubscribed members a couple of months later. I hope we exclusive PSN games.

I don't mind the idea that much. the money sony earn from this may eventually mean that sony will own all game servers like microsoft does, instead of different games using totally different servers all across the world - basically better servers. It doesn't seem too expensive either - a years worth is roughly the amount of a game. If it means new stuff, then i'm all for it.

basically SONY have 2 offer the normal free rate, as thats their flagship reason 2 buy a ps3.
I dont think it'l be that much, basically it'd mean that for your £30 a year, you are getting purely ectra content, whereas on 360 your £40 includes content with a better run internet service. I know some debate it, but with the money 360 take in with every1 online, they defo do have more money to maintain their servers. etc. 
I'd imagine it'd be more like £20, max.  as for £20 you would get a lot of content of Playstation store.

Rumours have it theres four packs , three of them owning cross game voice chat , with other goods and services included . Xbox pays 70$ for a years service , where we can pay that for 3 years service , still having an advantage over them. If it means fixing our crap third party servers, then count me in . Supporting Sony also means supporting MY OWN gaming experience for the better , which is deffinately something i want .
