Okay. I have had my PS3 for over a year now. I play it for games and blu rays all the time. My PS3 is the love of my life, and yes my girlfriend and I have an understanding about that. Yes the PS3 is more superior than the Xbox 360. However, when a 360 gets its famous red ring of death, there are ways of troubleshooting the problem. If a PS3 gets one of its 3 major problems, there are no troubleshooting solutions other than repairs by Sony. I had the blu ray drive go out on me back in October. Luckily, I had 3 weeks left on my warranty. If I did not have coverage, then it was going to be around $185 to repair/replace the blu ray drive. That price is near the price of what an individual can purchase a brand new Xbox 360. I love my PS3, but since my new 90 day warranty is going out in 3 weeks. I am considering an Xbox 360 for christmas. That thought alone gets me sick to my stomach. However, the 360's longevity is longer than blu ray drives built into the PS3s.

there is also a monthly warranty you can take out on your ps3 to cover all and any problem for £4.99 a month i think.

Yeah that deal would rock though. Though I found a place that can repair them for $100, which is $50 cheaper than Sony. Almost enough savings to buy another game with. Though when you have 25 or so games, you learn that you dont need anymore.

I sell most of mine on ebay when I have completed them. All the ones that I have now are pretty much trophy games, so I can't sell them as I still need the trophies!!

I am not selling my games or PS3 until the next generation systems come out (ex PS4 or whatever). Just sell it all as a bundle on ebay for alot of money bc right now i have 2 controllers, hdmi cable, 320gb internal drive, 29 games, strategy guides, etc.

I too have a 320gb hard drive in my PS3.It wouldn't be worth that much if a new system was released.
