Well If your reading this I hope you know that you have just purchased one of the easiest trophy games on PS3. I have platinumed the game a total of 4 times and can do it in a day. Hopefully with this guide, a full understanding of what the trophys mean, and Faulx's quick way to 100% this game will be just as easy for you.
***Before Starting Read Quick to 100% So you Don't Miss A Trophy***
Just to let you know the cool thing about Alone in the Dark ( AitD) is that it is set up like a movie and you can chapter and scence select. So if one trophy wants you to save something and one wants you to kill something you can just go back select the scene and rinse and repeat. This however does not affect the trophys that say “Without skipping any sequence” as long as you play every part of the leval.
Ok now for the trophy list.

A Day In Central Park:
Complete the Game. Very Easy.
Blazing Roots:
Burn all the roots of evil. This is very easy yet time consuming. As you progress through the game you will come across circles on your map filled with fuzz. These represent burning roots. In order to destroy them you need fire which as you learn from the game is essential for everything.
Eradication:
Kill 100 Humanz. Very easy if by the completion of the game you still haven't earned this trophy you can use the scene selector and go back to a place with alot of humanz and its as easy as rinse and repeat.
Handyman Carnby:
This by far is the hardest trophy in the game. For this you need to combine all possible items in the game. And it appears from each different time i have platinumed this game i have found that the amount of things i need to combine are different. A good thing to remember is that all the sprays are different there are 3 types there are also empty bottles, glass bottles, water filled bottles. Instead of me listing them all off it would probably be easier for you to google it and find a complete list. There is a great spot to do this tho it has all the items in one house. It is in the bottom of the map once you reach central park. The basement is flooded and in the upstairs there is a vending machine for bottles. Hope this helps.
Flaming Roots:
Destroy half the roots. See blazing roots (above) for more info.
Cockpit Adicit:
Drive down 59th street in cockpit view. This is very easy silver as soon you pull out of the parking structureswitch to cockpit view and don't switch out if you think you did use the scene selector and try again.
Stuntman:
Jump the towtruck over the gap. You actually jump a truck using the towtruck if i recall so don't worry about that but this is just earned thoughout the game.
Purification by Fire:
Destroy the vampirz nest. This is a boss battle very easy.
Bloody Mary:
Bandage 5 deep wounds. The only way I would get deep wounds is when they were self inflicted. In that case it works out well to throw a plastic bottle at the ground and then shoot it bandage. Rinse and Repeat.
Free Gasoline:
Take a knife or screw driver and an empty bottle. Walk up to where a gas cap would be on a standered automobile. Equip the knife puncture the gas tank, equip the bottle fill 'er up. Trophy.
Car Thievery:
You get this one when you before you do the Cockpit addict trophy this is the first car you use.
Wired:
Hotwire a car. You have plenty of chances once you get into central park.
Unlimited Offer.
Call all the contacts in your phone. Although they all say cannot reach contact it still counts as a call.
Fisherman's Foe:
Shoot the goldfish. This one is very easy to miss. It is when you drop down into the sewers. There should be a ladder infront of you with a cocoon blocking your way (SEE CACOON). In this pool you will find a small fish swimming around in it. Shoot it. Trophy.
Vampirz:
During the vampirz boss battle small batz will fly at you. Burn one with a spray lighter combo for the trophy.
Toasted Eggs:
Burn a ratz nest. These are found throughtout the game. They are purple and look kind of like small shurbs but they spit out enemies called ratz burn it for the trophy.
Goal:
This took me a while to figure out. The trophy wants you to kick 10 ratz. So when you find a rat walk up to it and hit R2 you should kick it. Simpliy rinse and repeat 10X for the trophy.
The biggest of all:
Defeat the museum monster. Boss battle.
Fissure:
Burn a Fissure. A fissure is a orange earthquake (best way to describe it) that charges at you. If you hit it with some fire spray you can easily kill it. This will get you the trophy.
Demolition Expert:
Build the most destructive weapon. Here's the combination: Plastic Bottle w/ fuel, double sided tape, box of bullets.
The Sharpshooter:
Shoot fire bullets into a humanz fissure. IF you close your eyes you can see orange lines across the humanz they are the fissures. Shoot it with some fire bullets and get the kill easy trophy.
Useless:
Combine an empty taped bottle w/ a wick and a emergancy flare.
The glowstick bomb:
Taped bottle fuel and glowstick.
The Sticky Bomb:
Combine a fuel bottle with double sided tape.
The Air Bomb:
Story related can't miss.
Cocoon:
When you drop in to kill the goldfish look above the ladder and burn the cocoon. Trophy.
The Molotov Cocktail:
Combine fuel bottle and a wick.
The Smart Fighter:
Use your lighter and a spray bottle on a human to kill it.
Nuke:
Kill three humanz at once. Use the most destructive weapon on a group of humanz and this should come easily.
Basic Combination:
Tape up a bottle.

The Blind Man:
When you first start the game you will be asked to blink your eyes, do nothing eventually a text box will come up asking if you understand click yes. Don't blink then untill you get to the mirror
FAULX'S QUICK WAY TO 100%
- Start game and do The Blind Man
- Do cockpit view
- progresse to central park
- when all roots are available on map burn them all
- Handyman Carnby
- complete game
- Go back to kill any humanz or anything you might have missed
