it depends on the tournament but your automatically entered if you preform the criteria needed it's usually something like who can get the fastest lap on a certain map or who drives the furthest over a week. So as long as your online it'll enter you and go to tournament table outside your trailer to see what you need to do.

ive almost platnium this game the only problem ive got is trying to win the online race against 7 other players ,i hardly find a full room and when i do all they want to do is smash everyone its annoyinng me.

maybe you were just really close to red and it took longer, but for me a started at red and it only took 7/8 races, thats why i used those numbers in the guide.. well at least ya got it now
