I'm just calling a spade a spade.
If you feel like you can justify stealing money from hard working people because “times are tough” or because there is no security in place to stop you… go ahead. It's not my conscious.
… and yes I buy all my music and movies. I support artists and I am willing to part with $12.00 to watch a theatre movie or $6 bucks to rent one. I even buy some of my favourite movies on blu-ray disk at around $20-25 a piece. Songs are also only $1.00 on Itunes or CD's are like $9.99 or 12.99 now.
Again, get a paper route if you can not afford these prices. Using the economy as an excuse is just pathetic.
If you couldn't afford new clothes, but knew of a store that you could steal from and not get caught, would you? Better yet, lets use the logic of a few people on this board. If your friend bought a shirt from the store and then gave you his receipt, would you go into the store, grab the identical shirt and walk out the door with it? Even if you were stopped at the door, you could show your receipt and the store would be none the wiser.
When there is little to no risk of getting caught, or the punishment is not severe, people tend to forget about things like HONESTY and INTEGRETY. If your moral compass is so skewed because of how you were raised or the people you associate with, then I'm sure what I say will not change your mind.
Again, I'm just calling a spade a spade.
To bring this conversation back on topic…and sum everything up, Battlefield 1943 is a great online game. If you like it, you should pay for it (regardless if it is shareable or not) and support the people who put hard work and time into making it.
Think about it.
