there is no point to our existence. its human ego that wants us to believe we have a 'purpose' … all you can do is be nice to kids and elderly ppl , have fun , and be the best person you can be. imo. and do what you can for those less fortunate , ie. handicapped ppl , sick ppl , etc…

chill , keep in mind , IT DOESNT MATTER , and although like you im an atheist , i'll quote this '…grant me the serenity to accept the things i cannot change…' , tbh , most of our life is determined at birth , our choices are marginal , but we can still enjoy what little we get. 

that is why religion is important to the human mind, if you/i believed , we'd be better armed with answers (albeit questionable ones) to those existential questions. as you get older , you'll learn to deal with insecurity etc… , the whole 'would you take the blue or the red pill' question. which is why i disagree with l8scent's sign-off , 'ignorance IS bliss' , or more effectively 'ignorance of your ignorance is bliss' . but you can't live in bliss forever….

btw , death doesnt always have to be painful. (i hope)

and dont kill yourself , i'd miss having someone to get pissed off at…
