Hey, since we're on the topic of being Canadian, I've got one! How about “eh”. That can mean pretty much anything here in Canada.
I dont get that. In Toronto, I have never heard anyone say “eh”.
But then i go to florida, and they ask : “So your canadain, EH”…. its like they are yelling the EH part…
I personally have never even said the word my whole life.
Other Canadians : Have you guys ever said EH?
Hmm, I guess this is only exclusive to Northern Ontario and not Southern… up here, saying “eh” after every sentence is practically a religion.
I always say “eh.” But not how Canadians get made fun of for using it. We're Canadian Eh like from Canada Eh. No.
It's a force of habit for me to use it when asking if someone agrees. “That was a good movie, eh?”
Instead of “That was a good movie, what do you think?” … it's a short cut
