Okay guys, have noticed various articles covering Australia Day this week and found one story quite interesting. I was wondering what your opinions are with regards to your National Flag featuring the Union Jack?

Personally I'm very proud of the Welsh National flag and wouldn't change it for the world. Having said that, if it contained the St George's Cross in the top left I'd probably be all up for getting rid of it (no offence to the English contingent on here ).

im a scot so say what you want about the english lol i dont mind. if the st george cross got added to the welsh or english flag everyone would hit the roof lol no1 really likes the english jk

My opinion on this is if it's not broken don't fix it. Leave the flag as it is.

it doesn't really bother me these arguments over the flag and whether australia should be a republic will always happen

plus they would need a majority of the public to vote the change in the fllag

Omg, he forgets that NZ's flag has the Union Jack as well… Im just kidding, Im use to the fact that NZ is the country that nobody can find on a map/globe.

I have a question regarding the british commonwealth games – is that for countries that were formerly under british rule or for everyone?

Edit

I was wondering if cricket is classed mainly as a British sport because all the best countries in cricket are former members of the Bitish commonwealth

I love the Irish flag, although I know the orange third has something to do with 'William the Orange' which i think has something to do with Holland for some reason. (Sorry, my history isn't normally this shaky especially about my own country) I guess I better go google the history of the Irish flag.

couldnt give a damn bout my flag or nationality, what does it actually tell you about yourself and how will it effect you (unless your really into that sort of stuff….)?
