with the matte finish it prolly doesn't look so bad if a little dust settles on it.. and its smaller if that helps you any.. other than that, i cant see any benifits

jsut a new slim model. Sony lowered the price, etc. Its just a fashionable make-over.

i think the older one is more fashionable. but the slim has some nice features. i might end up getting a slim some day
