Anyone think if it's a 'decent' survival horror it might be good? If it can immerse you in the tension and drama enough you'll soon forget about graphics… Unfortunately, it looks like it might be ass also Has there been any official info on the story or even what genre it's going to be?
If anything I think it'll definitely need that 'scary' vibe to succeed? Otherwise it might just become some 'fetch-based' snooze fest… And I'm not a massive 'TWD' fan but it seems a risk releasing a poor game for what seems a popular series… Game of Thrones all over again
I think the only way to make a zombie game scary is to make it incredibly immersive and dark and I don't think this game is gonna be either of those things. Unless there's something they're not showing us. ZombiU does a surprisingly decent job at making a tense zombie game because resources are really scarce and you have to manually loot bodies without pausing and stuff. And even the guns in that game are almost useless unless you get headshots.
If they somehow managed to create a good story or good characters in the game, it could be good because of that, but what are the chances of that happening? Hopefully they release a demo and we can check out the gameplay, because if there's at least some solid or slightly fun gameplay going on, I'd still probably give it a go.
Immediately thought of gr8 and Em while viewing this since I believe manly tears were shed? While it doesn't provide much information on what the “extra” content could possibly be however it does give you something to look forward to…
One tear, Denzel! One tear!! I saw that on PS3T yesterday, bias-free. I wonder what they plan on doing. An epilogue of sorts since the end game stats were kind of lousy? A DLC chapter where you play as Clem? Just something to bridge the gap as a new protagonist? I'll keep my eyes peeled and tear-free until it comes out.
