MemberThats more of background information on the trophies than anything…. and I think you have it backwards… the bronze trophies are the tricky ones, because the symbols arent always apparently obvious,,, where as with the silver trophies, if you rewind and play the scenes again, there are onscreen cues for what to do with your controller (shake it, turn it, press circle, etc…) so, heres the useful info:
For all greetings trophies, pause the scene at the specified time and pan your camera around until you see a funky looking symbol (each one is different).
Greetings to Still – 2:19
Greetings to Fairlight – 3:07
Greetings to ASD – 3:13
Greetings to Fabrausch – 3:31
Greetings to The Black Lotus – 3:55
Greetings to RGBA – 4:20 (hah!)
Greetings to Madwizards – 4:36
Greetings to MFX – 5:04
Greetings to Sunflower – 5:41
Greetings to Conspiracy – 5:52All these times are approximate, you may need to go forward or backward a few milliseconds if you still have trouble.
The sigils should be obvious, I believe the first is shake, the next is fast forward (hold R2), theres one where you rotate the controller, and one is press circle while looking at the cats face… the only semi tricky one is sigil of light. press circle while looking at the sentinal to turn on his eyes (lights, woah!), it fills a little bar part way. a little later you do it again, it fills the bar more, and a little later shake your controller, fills it the rest of the way. There ya go!

Memberhah, exactly, and I doubt it. I'm at the point now where if a game doesn't have trophies yet, I'm assuming it won't ever. If suddenly they update, then hey, thats a nice surprise.
BigWoopMagazine
Membermidnight? is that a game?
BigWoopMagazine
MemberIt might be because its mid changes… but every once in a while when I load the page, all the formatting is really really screwy,,, like all the words are there, but pictures are missing and the framing of the side bars overlap the forum posts… but then when I reload or go to the next page its all okay again. That new top banner for ps3 trophies had a cool look to it though

MemberOther miserable online gaming experiences? Personally, I think Resistance 2's online sucks, and I've voiced that a number of times (just because you can get 60 people in a game doesn't make it cool). Also, condemned 2's online was pretty beat…not that you would buy it for that. I think dark sector had a really crappy online I tried once too… not sure tho, returned that game. Bionic commando has some really dissapointing online… it could have been really crazy, but the level layouts suck, the match making system sucks, and thats enough suck for me to put it down.

MemberAlso, if you're still having trouble pop the game into easy mode. I tried to do this on hard mode and found that my grenades just kinda bounce them around and don't kill them before I go flying past… and the precision takes two shots, even in the head… making it difficult to get any kills.
BigWoopMagazine
MemberMaybe me? Although I wasn't whining really, just making a statement was all. As for the trophies that make you play the game again on a harder mode, thats something you definitely shouldn't complain about. Theres many games I always did this for well before trophies existed (God of War 1 and 2!), because when everything in the game is well done, it becomes more fun when its more challenging. It should force you to learn all the little nuances in the gaming mechanics and perfect your techniques for utilizing them to your full advantage. GOW was really, really great for this… and actually I liked playing R2 on the harder modes, I thought the single player campaign was awesome! But I know I won't get the 10k trophy, and its because if I'm going to play online, I'll throw CoD back in… or perhaps Red Faction… although I haven't decided how I feel about RF's multiplayer yet.

Memberwell they won't be cutting the upcoming releases if they're complaining about losing money. They already invested how many thousands in developing MW2 and whatever that “music” game is… it'd be really, really stupid to just cut those and make no return whatsoever on their investment. That said, the only thing that would concern me is if they cut support for DLC, they screwed us a little on the original MW, and it could be worse this time around.

MemberHa, you probably don't even know just how far that cross dressing thing goes. All you really need is the dress and the wig, but you can also get shoes, a tiara, a neclace… and perfume. Part of it allows you to go into the honey bee inn, and I think theres something useful in there to grab, but I can't remember what. If you get all that stuff, then Don Corneo chooses Cloud instead of Tifa or Aeris. Its humorous, but thats about it. The Mayor thing is worth getting right the first time, you get an elemental materia for that, which is useful early in the game (pair it on your armor with something and you can beat any early boss that uses elemental attacks). Haha, I actually named Barret “Mista T” this time through. At one point Aeris calls him Mr. Barret,,, but instead it said “Mr. Mista T”. Maybe I'm lame, but I found that really funny, especially with him responding “Mr. Mista T?! Now that just don't sound right.”

Memberwow thats a novel. sorry. I just remembered, you can also get the gold chocobo by defeating the emerald weapon. It gives you an item (can't remember the name), that you bring to an old man in Kalm. He then gives you the chocobo…. I think.
BigWoopMagazine
MemberFinally! someone wants to talk about this! Well when I was younger and this game was fresh, I actually went through and did EVERYTHING possible. yes, that means I got all 8 huge materia. If you remember there are two ways to get them, four each… one is to beat Ruby and Emerald weapon, by far the hardest thing in the game to do, and the other is to fully level up every single type of materia that exists. So… I prefer to use those… hah. but by the time I get them, theres really no point, except just to say you got 'em. Any who, This time around I'm doing things different than I ever did before, so at least some of the experience is new. Right now I have Cait Sith as my magic man, and Vincent as my middle man. They both have pretty decent HP early in the game, and vincent is a good all around character… I'm not a huge fan of his limit breaks, but I can deal with that. For the moment as far as weapondry goes I'm just trying to see how much of the game I can remember for acquiring those, so whatever I can find. Cloud is the power in the game, so I always have him with an Lightning +All combo, or something similar, whatever my best summoning is, and cover (I sometimes switch the cover to help others get the next limit break, but its best on cloud to build his limits up). Right now I have added effect + toad on his weapon, which is nice, but I'll probably change that later. My middle man vincent has time+all (I haste A LOT), and any supplementary magic (bio, heal, etc), plus one summoning. Cait sith has the rest of the power magic, summons, cure all, revive, and any elementals I can fit. Someone always has steal on as well (Cait sith right now), cause I never used it before and this time through I'm trying to see what each enemy has. Its really saving me a lot of money and effort, you get some good armor and weapons early doing that.
Favorite moment is hard to say… theres so many good ones! which is exactly what I love about this game, it has so much emotional intensity going on that I still connect with to this day. I never felt that with the other games. For the moment I'm going to say when you first reach the northern cave, and cloud's connection to Jenova becomes revealed… but I have a feeling that by the time I finish I'll have changed that thought. Its a great turning point though, you have a great background set up for every character, and then all of a sudden everything gets flipped upside down, with your hero losing control, and the weapons waking up.
The coma scene is probably the worst part I agree, but at the same time it at least explains a lot of the little nuances going on in Cloud's story, so is definitely a necessary portion of the game.
how about favorite mini game? from what I remember, its the snowboarding, I got really good at that. I'm still working on getting there, I think its soon, since I just left nebelheim. I think I need to get cid, visit wutai, and then the forgotten city, if I remember correctly… then… snowboards! woo!
by the way, for the gold chocobo, your base chocobos are really important (Great and good?), and you need to go to the correct areas to catch them, its not totally luck based. I remember one of the areas is outside Cid's hometown (forget the name), and the other is… pretty much anywhere, but I think south near where the lifestream comes out of the planet… not sure tho. One thing I do know is that it really helps to upgrade them all to 'S' Rank before mating. Easy peasy… hold R1 and R2 the entire race and your stamina slowly refills… you can sprint almost the whole thing,,, and the only way you can lose then is if the black chocobo racer is in there. Good luck!

MemberI got it, just as fantastic as ever. Currently: just acquired vincent and left nebelheim.

Memberoz you're not too late, I was on the other day and there were still a lot of people playing… I just couldn't get into the multiplayer for this game… its such massive chaos all the time that I feel confused and like its impossible to work together with my team… at the same time, if I try to go solo I just get overpowered. It creates a total lack of strategy, and I just can't find it fun. I even feel the same way in the co-op, but there is a strategy, which is play the role you choose. thats it. so its not just time consuming, but time wasting as well… unless you REALLY want that trophy. these are all reasons I can't wait for MAG, because the massive aspect is cool, and I think the organization system of squads and platoons is really going to make it fun to work together as a team, rather than just feeling lost in the chaos.

Memberdude! MGS! even if you played it before this is a fantastic classic, and if you haven't, then you must play!!! DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMN I can't believe no one else said it!…. but otherwise I'd say the pinball, its great for a game to occupy small or large amounts of time, based on whether you just wanna play around or go for the trophies… some of them are pretty hard for it.
