What education system is that? I know some Scandinavian countries grade in numbers but I think it's the higher numbers that are better over there.

I wouldn't worry too much about that. Just be aware of what the main story missions are and which ones will lock you into the ending sequence. Once you know that you'll know when to break off and start roaming the map to mop up anything you've missed.

I'm not too bothered by any changes they do or don't make to structure of the game. I'm just hoping for a smoother (read: less glitchy) play.

'Cryptorchild' from the album Antichrist Svperstar by Marilyn Manson.

It's pretty tepid considering the current extremity of music that I listen to but this is the song that set me on the metal path. I picked up the album at complete random and when I threw it on I hated the vocals and ended up skipping the first few tracks. But when I landed on this creepy b*stard of a song I took notice. I restarted the album, picked up the lyrics booklet and never looked back.

Mazza may class himself as an “artist” rather than a musician these days but back before his head disappeared up his own arse he created some pretty memorable albums that, while mainstream, still possessed the genuine depth that has attracted me to metal ever since.

Fully half the “members” here have less than ten posts and disappear after they get the help they want.

I am personally going to spam the crap out of every PSN ID I see here with less than fifty posts. And I have many accounts so have your block lists prepped!!

I have a copy of it but I haven't played it yet. The scumbags at GAME.co.uk only announced the release of a shiny collector's edition after my regular edition had been dispatched. So the CE is ordered and the copy I have is being sold to a friend, hence no playing.

The gameplay footage I've seen does look similar to GoW but that kind of comparison happens when a previous IP “defines” a genre. Just like the way every third person shooter with a cover system immediately has it's similarities with Gears of War pointed out.

But I think Castlevania looks like it's going to have a little more depth. With Kojima tinkering with things there's no way the story can be as straight forward as GoW!

Thickbrow was a (crappy) troll but he at least made an effort. Some of the threads he got involved with ended up being the most popular discussions/fights.

It's true that Gas isn't the first person we've had that has felt the need to voice every spark they're brain fires, but the community has shrunk considerably over the last year and now it's far more noticeable when a thread gets clogged with pointless posts.

I don't think it's fair to blame some of the problems on a lack of decent games either, I think that's just one of the disadvantages of having a smaller forum with young-ish members. MW2 and Uncharted were blockbuster titles that everyone bought (like GoW) but smaller releases (irrespective of quality) tend to get sparser coverage because only a handful of members have picked them up. And I can't remember the last time I saw a thread on a PSN game.

I got the beta with my pre-order and PS+ but I haven't bothered to check it out. When I know I'm definitely getting a game I tend not to spoil it with demos or betas.

But from what I'm hearing from my friends (on- and offline) the game mode on offer is a bit of a let-down. In the previews I've read the devs have talked it up as a tense game of cat-and-mouse with a cloak-and-dagger style but as per usual they're forgetting that Joe Public doesn't always play the game as it was intended or imagined.

Apparently the game usually turns into a straight forward fight with players just legging it about hacking each other up. Depending on how the respawns work that could lead to a pretty boring and short match. Which will lead to the multiplayer dying very quickly.

If the devs are treating it as a proper Beta and looking for player feedback then I hope they bother their asses to change it up a bit. Maybe they could stack rewards on use of stealth, not being seen or caught and eh.. stealth? Or maybe there already is a reward system and people just don't give a crap. Like I said, I've yet to play it and I'm just running on opinions I've heard so anyone can feel free to correct me.
