Haven't felt that amount of hype since TDKR!
Both films were hyped, and both didn't live up to it.
Saw Skyfall during the Sunday that past and hate me if you want, but I thought it wasn't that great. I was bored during certain scenes and the plot wasn't that interesting. Seriously?? Skyfall wasn't a BIG deal like they made it out to be in the trailers and if you take our a line of dialogue and change the location of the finale, it could've been called 007 Rises for all I cared.
The shots were great and extradionary in IMAX but the action was never heart-pounding. It felt like the script wasn't even finished and was for a different 007 film unpresented in this. Speaking of the script, it's essentially The Dark Knight Rises… And definitely done better. Bond in a lot of ways was a mixture between Max Payne and Bruce Wayne. Having been drinking in a slow depressed-type state while being broken and having to rise up and take down the villian wanting to destroy his agency.
Actors were great and Javier Bordam was perfect, wishing the film was more of him. Saying that, his motivations weren't that compelling nor interesting. And the hell?? You're an agent of MI6 wanting to kill your handler because you were being tortured because again, you're an MI6 agent? Whatever.
The soundtrack… I don't have much to say about this since I don't even remember a particular track. Perhaps one from the trailer, but that doesn't count.
Tried to love this film, but sadly couldn't. It never passes the bar Casino Royale set, feeling like an unworthy successor in a lot of ways. While in everyway better than Quantum of Solace, it's certainly not the best that Bond has to offer.

MemberBeen trying to get some guys together to boost the Uncharted 2 DLC and manage to find some luck. I've 8 guys ready (at least some seem to be) and should have a few more coming in. A few guys and I are going to tackle the co-op portion of it this weekend to get that done, since it seems the easiest. If any of you guys are interested, feel free to join in. It'll be quite some time till the 100% comes…

Says the guy who literally bought the same game twice.
Says the one who bought Jak & Daxter HD Collection and played it on the PS2.

MemberHad a solid day today. Managed to squeeze out the 100% of Deus Ex: Human Revolution which required 2 playthroughs for some odd reason… Planned on doing 1 playthrough to do everything but for some reason, Factory Zero didn't pop. So managed to do it when I woke up today, took a shorter time than my first playthrough. The DLC was alright though… The opening was nice and slick but the rest of the DLC was not really worth the $14.99 I paid…
Started up Road of Devastation for Dead Nation and managed to knock out a third of the DLC trophies. It's harder than I thought it would be and I seriously need to plan out before going into any area. An upgrade sub machine gun isn't going to cut it. Wonder if Em will erupt and come to the rescue in the fight for survival…

MemberManaged to grind through 50 wins of Propector (Co-op) mode in Starhawk taking a total of 12hrs and 34 mins. Spent an hour or two just goofing around at first but the other 10 were the grind. I've 47 wins still in CTF and stopped to finish Prospector (1 out of the 4 modes done!
) so decided to see if there were any games going and it seems as if Starhawk is kind of deserted online?!
Most matches down the list are always 4/16, 9/32, etc. and since I've heard the quick match is essentially broken, so the only way to find a real match is to search through the games list. They seriously need to patch this so more games will be packed!
Been giving Payday a shot these past two weeks and been planning out days to play with my group but there's always a problem or something happening to where I have to rely on my friend to gather some of his buddies to join up. We've tried doing Easy St. this week but it hasn't been going smoothly.
I might start a playthrough of Dragon Age this weekend to keep me busy, but who knows?

…I didn't have to spoil the experience with tedious replaying.
Do you really feel like that?
I often play a game 2-3 times, if it's 'that' type of game, just to see the diff. game dynamics and storyline play out… And at £40 a pop it gives the game a bit of longevity, unless your looking for a decent trade in i guess!? I can understand if it's a crap game but I though DE:HR was pretty good?
Do you think you have played the game again if there had been no trophies??
Although the question isn't pointed towards me, I would have definitely played it as many times as I did or even more because it was that damn good. Undeniably the best of '11.

Well that seems interesting, by pre-ordering, you can get a free puzzle game with 50 levels! That's more than the average retail game!

MemberWatched The Expendables 2, Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, and Lovely Molly yesterday.
Expendables was a surprise as I wasn't a fan of the first that much and expected this to be shit but I was engaged and actually felt bad for how the story set up (y'know what I mean
). The action never felt like it was too much and actually had me chuckling and laughing out loud during parts of the film consistently.
Abraham Lincoln sadly did not live up to the hype I set for it but it's a great film, not the best of '12 like I was hoping. The first 20-30 minutes are a drag filled with shit dialogue but after that, I was certainly hooked and intrigued with what was happening. Some of the action set-pieces were off-the-rails spectacular and had my jaw dropping at times. The slow-mo action scenes (all the action scenes) were just superb to watch and made the film more badass. Zack Snyder needs to take some goddamn notes on how to do slow-mo!!
Last but not least, Lovely Molly. This film sucks DICK. Stay away, hell, don't even read the last part of this post, it's that damn bad. Horrible, shit, terrible, I just don't have the ***NO PROFANE LANGUAGE PLEASE*** words to describe this atrocious piece of shit. It's not the worst film I've seen, but it's definitely horrible. This film is catagorized as a horror film but the only thing horrible about it is realizing the amount of time wasted on this!!

Member@I773
Thanks for Doc to explaining this to me on my playthrough but the only way the trophy won't pop is if there is literally an alarm going off, like it's audible. Don't quote me on this but during my stealth playthrough, I believe I screwed up a hack and still was able to get through and get the trophy, but don't rely on that. Just curious though, how come you didn't do it in 2 playthroughs instead of 1? Even if you failed the alarm and beat the game, if you've a free day with literally nothing planned out, then you can most likely finish up Deus Ex within that day.

MemberDragon Age: Origins (Second playthrough, endings, locations, lvl. 20, DLC)
Infamous (Need 2 more playthroughs as I've not enough XP to purchase the powers both times I've played!
)
Metal Gear Solid 4 (Need the Emblems left, the other trophies will just come along the way)
Deus Ex: Human Revolution (DLC needs to get finished up sometime…)
Dead Nation (DLC)
Duke Nukem Forever (DLC)
PAYDAY: The Heist (Haven't popped this in for a while and keep saying I'll get it done, but I haven't
)
Mass Effect 2 (DLC)
Really want at least Infamous or MGS4 done this month. I've still manage to keep some of my retail copies for when I purchase the DLC. Would really like the 100% in some of them since they were highly enjoyable…

MemberHaven't been feeling too well with all the weather and shit so I've been on & off the PS3 randomly, either watching films or leaving it on for MGS4.
Left MGS4 on the other day and managed to get up to 28 hrs out of the 35 required for the Chicken Emblem in Act 2 alone, so I think I'm good enough to go ahead and play through the game. Hoping to finish this up soon though…
Haven't got much Starhawk done this week but last night I managed to squeeze out 3-4 matches before it got too much for me. Been playing Capture the Flag exclusively and haven't tried the other game modes yet because the game doesn't seperate your wins from each other and calculates it as,”Wins – 34″ and not like, “CTF Wins – 34” and so on… Hopefully I can managed to get through this soon as once I get the CTF wins done, I'm taking a break from it for a while.
Lastly, I'm about to start up my 4th or 5th playthrough of, The Darkness II, on my PC as I really liked this game alot and it's pretty short so I can just hop on, finish it, then move on
