MemberPersonally, I try to buy PSN games when I get the chance because I simply love the idea of most of them being a hop on/ hop off type deal, if that makes sense. For example, PAYDAY: The Heist (although not worth a full $20 ($15 is reasonable but too pricey)), is the type of game where I can just go to any mission I want play it for 20 minutes or so before I go out and turn it off whereas starting a whole new single player in Mafia II where you're forced to complete chapters at a time.
Great example, PixelJunk Shooter, a game where the only sort of plot is to save some survivors and I played it for 10 minutes or so before I went to bed and I had a great time. Just because I haven't played it for a month or two, I'll end up losing the plot and having to restart to get a grasp of it. Instead, I can hop on it before I do something for 10 minutes and just have fun instead of, kill this guy because he killed your buddy's friend's dog or something like that.
On the issue about the plats not being on PSN titles as much, I do believe they have an affect or simply just trophies on it aswell because I've personally skipped out on some supposedly great games like Sideway simply because I didn't feel like earning 3 trophies after completion and having to collect collectibles for 100% completion. Along with that, I think PSOne classics if you want to add them aren't bought as much because of trophy updates and HD collections coming so it questions, why play them?
I do want to add my personal opinion for this though, it seems as if when a PSN game doesn't get rave reviews or doesn't have a big named company attached to it, it simply doesn't get bought at all. Games like Rocketbird: Hardboiled Chicken is one of the top PSN games I want to buy but I haven't seen anyone playing it for I don't know what reason but they'll just end up buying the next Telltale game or whatever PixelJunk throws out next. I have to look more at the PSN games to back up my conversation but hopefully you get what I'm saying.
And for the final one of has the quality fallen? I don't believe so due to the fact games like Journey have proven to give you basically a journey that doesn't cost $59.99 to play. Games like Battlefield 1943 gives you that great DICE multiplayer so much of us have come to love but without the $59.99 price tag including a pointless single-player, instead it gives us what we all love which is the multiplayer for 1/4 of the price (although there's only 3 maps
). There are great PSN games in the store IMO that puts most $59.99 retail games to shame by providing a 6-12 experience, extra game modes, and sometimes a platinum or fun trophies for a quarter of the price of a normal retail game.scotty243

(From the Max Payne 3 Soundtrack)
Didn't understand the lyrics at first (because they're in a different language lol) and after translating it on Google, it actually sounded pretty good. Plus I like the beat.

MemberGot a little bored of trying to finish up some of my games and decided to go back and play the masterful, Uncharted 3. Definitely still great as before but for some reason, I kinda suck
. Oh well, at least it's still as good as the first time around and the set pieces are as better than ever!
Afterwards, think I'll go back into Deus Ex: Human Revolution.

Member#21 Mafia II
3/10 (Mainly due to the drag of getting the collectibles)
Pretty great game due to it's story but afterwards, it was quite a drag to play through getting the rest of the trophies.

#22 Duke Nukem Forever
4-5/10 (Due to poor level design and poor bosses)
DNF was actually a pretty funny game and I did enjoy for some time. “…All I wanted to do was click.” Still a funny as hell line.

MemberPlaying through Duke Nukem Forever Insane. This game truly has poor level design.

MemberAfter storming through the Dog Sh!t of Kane & Lynch 2, I now have Duke Nukem Forever to finish. Manage to get Mafia II done on hard and I should be able to squeeze out the plat in the next 20 minutes or so. Finally finished WarHammer 40K and I must say, the ending was pretty BADASS and I couldn't help myself but smile while beatin' baddies bloody and in-half. But along with that, I do have to say, the part leading up to the ending was utter bullsh!t due to the amount of enemies and lack of weapon damage happening. So at this point, I'm going to finish up the rest of the trophies for Duke Nukem Forever within the next week and Mafia II by Tonight. Hopefully Jenkem and I get together to play some Lara Croft as I actually want to thoroughly enjoy this game as much as I can.

Member#20 Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days
6-7/10 (Due to the dead online community and the weirdos and douche bags that are left.)
This game was utter garbage and I'm actually surprised I manage to get this platinum at all. K&L2 might be the first game to break me physically as my thumbs are so sore, I'm suffering a headache, and fighting sleep at the same time. I don't think I've had a good night of sleep since playing this game. NO JOKE. Anyways, STAY AWAY. Not worth it, even if it's $5. Pure garbage…

MemberIt's not really the fact that it's being dragged out, but when you advertise the Untold story to be in the film and was, but was taken directly out of the film, that's garbage. I can take it if you can put some of the plot in the film, but when you see the actual trailer and see some of the photos from the deleted scene where his 'Untold story' was suppose to be revealed and not even at least get a glimpse at the untold story in any way shape or form, that's when the shit hits the fan for me. Anyways, sorry if I don't make sense on this post, eating cheesecake and listening to something. Hopefully The Amazing Spider-Man thread I put up answers you fully.

MemberDredd looks super BADASS! Along with that The Words actually looks really good and I've heard positive things from the premiere at the Sundance Film Festival.

The Amazing Spider-Man 3-D…
You know 'Spiderman' and 'The Amazing Spider Man' are two different things… Right?
And 'multi film' films are all the range right now…

Yeah, I know they're different but I kinda don't understand what you are trying to say about the Multi-Film thing.

Should've gotten this a month ago with Jenkem, Seibei, and gr8 but was too lazy to join up with them plus they were almost done so why wait on the slow poke?
Anyways, finally summoned up the courage to get it done. Thanks to Seibei, Jenkem, gr8, and Murv for helping me out.scotty243

MemberDefinitely excited for this trophy patch as I've been wanting to dive back into this game for awhile and it'll be nice to earn trophies on it aswell. Am I the only one thinking the MGS4 plat will reveal something about MGS5 or another MGS game other than Raiden's game?

MemberDecided to screw waiting to play Deus Ex and played the hell out of it beating it on Hard which took me a few days but I did play it alot. Anyways, I'm playing through Kane & Lynch 2 and gathering a boosting team to get the trophies since the online is literally dead. K&L2 is an interesting title though, one where I do have fun some parts of the game and others where it completely irritates me completely. The multiplayer though is where the fun begins (or at least arcade mode) having you be loyal to your group or not and if your group will do the same makes the game intense and having to watch your back constantly is pretty interesting. Definitely going to do an all out boosting session in WarHammer one of these days with some of you APTers but yeah….

MemberHas minor/light spoilers for The Amazing Spider-Man 3-D
Never finished Ghost Rider so… Yeah, it was too shit to finish. Anyways, saw The Amazing Spider-Man earlier Today and I definitely have to say, it was a disappointment. The 3-D was utter ***NO PROFANE LANGUAGE PLEASE*** shit and was better in the actual trailer for the film than in the film itself. For the story itself, it's cool they focused more on Peter than just jumping straight into Spider-Man like in the previous films but the backstory with his parents is utter bullshit and putting that into a sequel when you're main marketing is about what really happened to his parents and stuff like that is ***NO PROFANE LANGUAGE PLEASE*** bullshit. It was downright disgusting how many plotholes were in the film that the director, Marc Webb, even said he was trailer to leave so much out there so he can continue this franchise. What the fcuk???! That's LAZY. I even saw an official conformation on The Amazing Spider-Man 2 a few months back but to actually save all these plot holes for the next film is completely fcuked up and you're already milking this franchise. Alright, I know this director had a lot on his plate due to him rebooting an already established film series and this being his 2nd film (his first being (500) Days of Summer which is an excellent romantic-comedy) but that doesn't give him a reason to leave plotholes in it still unless someone higher up wanted it to. The action in the film was alright and some moments were heartfelt and you can actually feel the chemistry between the two main actors. Hopefully, Marc Webb steps up his game in the next film or they need an all new director because what he did was insulting. Besides that, I think they should keep the cast and keep that sort of personal story with Peter and stuff like that.
3-D's still shit.
