Fun game! I have it on XBLA also. I am psyched that it has trophies. The Gold is the easiest gold trophy that I have ever gotten. also the silvers are easy too. I have only been playing it for about 1-1/2 hours and I am at 50% completion. Fun game though, worth the 10bucks. ADDICTIVE!

    this game is rediculously fun!!

great game to play in between games and if you have like 10-15 minutes spare time.

OR just play all the time =)
    either way is good

Man, I think I really suck at this game when there is a time limit. I can’t get past level 3 in Action Mode.
I’m also having trouble to get the Dimensional Rift trophy.
I guess the only solution is to keep trying; :(
Anyway, the game is very good indeed.

Yea the action mode is quite a challenge. Lvl 4 is max for me.

action mode is tough, some peoplejust get it real easy, but i cant get past 4 myself.

and i got 2 hyper cubes on the board at 1 time, but that was my max, something blows it up, or its literally my only move to use one, really sucks. but just keep at it, will probably just happen when you least expect it.

haha i’m in the same boat as you two guys, can’t seem to get past level 4 in action mode. i was one jewel away and then couldn’t find a match and it was downhill from there!
also, the hypercube one is tough eh!? i’ve got a max of 2 just like you lowcarbs, and have tried to save them but they either get blown up or they are the only move to complete. bah! most happens at random anyways it seems! keep at ‘er!

well i found a method to action mode that might be helpful, as i can easily get to level 4 now, and got to level 5, but 5 is hella quick.

if you get or can make any hypercubes on levels 1, 2, or 3 possibly, DONT USE THEM.
save them, cause if you get a hypercube on level 1, and you pass the level with it still there, it carries over to level 2, so save them, for level 4 and 5 possibly. hope that helps.

the hypercubes are bit tough…i got three hypercubes about to get four then suddenly blew up..ill try to get it again..

    @LowCarbs:
Yeah, the Hypercubes will carry over to the next level, but the problem for me is that either they blow up accidentally or I run out of moves and my only choice is to use the Hypercube.
I got really close to level 5, but this thing is pretty tough.

    FINALLY GOT DIMENSIONAL RIFT!!!
had 3 on the screen, the 4th just popped up automatically.
and the 5th i got like 3 minutes later, was just moving them around and the situation came up and boom!
    got it

now on to action mode. thats gonna be tough.

lowcarbs, which mode did you make the 5 hypercubes in? i’ve been trying to do it in endless mode since you never run out of time, etc. but often its the only move to make. did you manage to do it in action or classic mode?

  13. teamsleeper08
    February 6th, 2009 at 17:11 | #13

the hypercubes also carry on to the next level if in endless mode, in case it wasn’t known

  14. lowcarbs
    February 8th, 2009 at 04:33 | #14

i did it in endless mode, took me till about level like 29 or something.
but yea i didnt know they carried over till about level 20 or so, but i just kinda got lucky and had moves to do, and i would always try to blow up the explosion cubes as soon as i saw them, so they didnt accidently get to close to the hyper.

and i try to get the hypercubes as low as possible, to get them near the bottom and outta the way, i just hated when i would have 3 at the bottom, a new level would start, and they move them around, putting them back towards the top lol.

but yes i did it in endless, did the carry over method, on about lvl 29, when it takes FOREVER to go up another level.
so you had alot of time between levels to work with what you had.

thanks for the tip lowcarbs. i think i’m on level 21 or 23, somewhere near there, have 3 on the board right now, but one is my only move left! damnit, got frustrated and had to quit! haha will try again later, thanks again.

Must say this is a super addictive game. Just some tips for the harder trophies (Action Hero, Dimensional Rift). With action hero, lowcarbs has the right idea. Try to make as many Hypercubes and even Power gems as possible in the first two or three levels and then save them until level four and five (preferably level five). Once on level four and five use them quickly and in succession. Level 5 becomes extremely difficult since the timer goes down so fast so your best bet is to try and manage on level 4 without using them. I’ve got to level 5 without any hyper cubes saved and its next to impossible to do without them. The amount of time you earn from getting three in a row is less than the time it takes to actually make the three in a row so the only way you could beat level 5 without them is by pure luck of having large multiplier cascades. For dimensional rift I found the endless mode to be the easiest for a couple reasons. First you don’t have to worry about the time going down. Second is that since it is endless mode you will always have a move to make and don’t have to worry about having no moves left as with classic mode. And third once you get your hyper cubes to the bottom you won’t have to worry about the level ending and them moving to the top again since on the higher up levels it takes a lot of points to get to the next level. Hope this helps some.

P.S. I have noticed that sometimes I’ll get a hypercube made by another method other than the typical two gems on each side and sliding the fifth gem in the middle. Anyone know of other ways to get hypercubes besides this or maybe have seen this happen?

    @MFK863

any other ways to make a hypercube?
honestly not that i know of. if i’m trying to make one, like set the board where i want it, then i do the traditional 2 on each side, one in the middle.
but there have been times, where i’ll get a couple combo’s and one just pops up.
now i know there are 5 there, but it either happened so fast i didnt see it, or it somehow hooked together differently than the traditional way.

but i reallly like when they show up and i didnt have to set the board up, very much better lol.

Action mode is based on a lot of luck. Ive gotten to level 5 4 or 5 times, and literally lose in the first 20 seconds. Even had a hypercube in the beginning. Your best hope is to save exploding and hypercubes and have a lot of frickn luck with multipliers. Anyone else think it would’ve been cool to create an online vs mode for this puzzler? could be worthwhile. Either way. I love playing it via remote play (ps3/psp) right before I kirk out at night.

you can use as much hints as you want, but in 1 puzzle the hints are disabled. so you have to complete that one without hints

I got to 100% On this, made my day last one was the action mode. It is a hard one todo, mainly luck but the best bet is to get as mainy hyper and four thingys. The othe thinto do is try and get them as close to the bottom as you can so you are lexs likely to blow them up. Hope this helps people!

I’m having the 5 hypercube trouble just like everyone else, and its all down to luck so i have been told by so many of my ps3 friends. You would have thought that such a hard trophy to get would at least earn you a platinum trophy, no chance there just a crappy sliver one.

So all of you that got the 5 hypercubes got the trophy? it wouldn’t give me the trophy and i have done it about 6 times and had more than 6 on the same board.
Or do you have to do it on a certian mode?.

That’s what I want to know. Does it count only on the normal modes (except puzzle) or works on the 3 “extras” as well. The two hardest for me are: Action & 5 hypers. dbzlotrfan is my PSN id I (I think)
