Söldner-X is a side-scroller, it’s not a bad game really but it’s not as fun as some others in the genre. It’s been out on PC for about 10 months I think.

oh man… i wish they would just remake R-type for the ps3. that would be awesome!

i have the original R-Type II arcade cabinet in the shed. you have a press a button on the inside of the box to get credits in order to play.

never could finish it because it was really pretty hard. lol. arcade games usually were…

anyway, i like the sound of this, but i wonder if it will ever be on the uk store.

yes. takes me back to to the good old side-way parallax scrolling retro gaming.

Delta, and Armalyte from thalamus on the C64 was my favorites…sweet. will def get it….only for the retro feeling…:)

Has anyone seen a review for the PSN version of this game? I’ve only read about the PC’s view of it, but I really can’t say they’re the same. It is a little disappointing that I can’t find any yet :(

thats retarded i must say if you own a ps3 trophies site don’t list any trophies as hidden when this site is ment to tell you all the trophies.

Take another look. I think they wrote them as hidden because they were still finding out themselves?

it’s hard… very hard… as you progress you gain ranks, which allow you further credits to get through the game. it’s just a factor of keep practicing until you’re good enough to do it.

I’ve played though 9 times and i’m pretty good at these things but the best ranking i can get is “ROOKIE”. Hell most of the time I get a LOUSY as a ranking.

Pretty damn tough game, but fun.

Master the Menace is pretty easy once you learn how to beat the dragon quickly. Kill at least 700 enemies, and do the level in less than 2½ minutes.

yeah this game is hard even the easiest mode (beginner). I too always get a C or D and sometimes E grade, but I got an S rank one time in the last stage and i dunno how i did that. wish it’s an S-rank for the 2nd world.
