Gaming has been a bit sporadic with me for the last month or so – popping in and offline, Netflix, school, etc. However, with all of that, I've been able to progress a tad bit in a few games I own.
Diablo III with Jack has been nothing less than fun, with the game blending solo, as well as co-op play, seamlessly. Concluded my first playthrough: Normal, a few weeks back and I was intrigued, however perplexed by the fact that I didn't care for a story all too much, that I just wanted something interesting to be told with bad ass cutscenes and a majority of gameplay presented. Anywho, it's easily slipped into one of my favorite games due to enrapturement of the world depicted through it's jaw-dropping cutscenes boasting spectacle as well as integrated brilliantly through it's gameplay aspects – fantastic.
War in the North took a turn for the worst a few days back, with an infuriating game-breaking bug in which players are literally forced to the start of the game without compensation or remorse. Em and I were progressing through the shite story, (which blatantly spoils The ***NO PROFANE LANGUAGE PLEASE*** Hobbit without consideration for those who haven't read or seen the films yet) then received a notion to travel towards Mirkwood. As us bad asses do, we get our geared checked out, preparing for the final chapter or so of the game, only then to notice that it is impossible, im-***NO PROFANE LANGUAGE PLEASE***-possible to travel there, no matter what you do. After reviewing several guides thoroughly, I repeated the steps granted to only find myself where I began: nowhere. This game will sit on my hard drive till I fire it up on a rainy day, and if I happen to progress to where I evidently left, to no avail, then ***NO PROFANE LANGUAGE PLEASE*** this game – there's no way in hell I'm going to drag myself through more undeveloped, unpolished, and degrading pieces of trivial on the market for a few virtual trophies.
Since I've been able to have a few games “done 'n dusted”, I've pondered the thought of finishing PAYDAY 2, even though I resent grinding in almost every way possible, unless it's Diablo, however I love heist-related things as well as being a fan of the franchise (mainly the first), so I may put an end to it sometime Friday; I'll have to grind practically all day, but I'll be able to sleep at night.
With Thursday and Friday off for me, other than perhaps finishing Dean Koontz' engrossing Frankenstein: Book One: Prodigal Son, as well as some school work, I'll try and dip into the backlog for once to finish some shit and start some others.
