Hahaha. This looks like a stunts list. Sounds fun. Great stuff.

Weird thing is, they just gave names to these challenges, and didn’t describe these challenges. Like, is Whoo-paah! trophy for whipping someone’s arse with the bionic arm in multiplayer?

Hope they do a patch for BC Rearmed too.

  4. March 26th, 2009 at 02:00 | #4

if this game is half as good as rearmed, then this will be awesome!
i saw some gameplay vids, looks really cool

perhaps the challenges are described in game? like in burnout paradise, they all have names in the game and when selected, describe themselves. at least, I would hope thats how it is… and yeah, the vids do look awesome, I’m really hoping for the best here, cause I imagine the multiplayer with everyone swinging around is gonna be rediculous

yeah, and the only review I saw so far is from IGN, 8/10, not bad. I think it has a lot of potential, I really wanna see what its like.

are the challenges main missions or do you have to do them offsides the story?

    May 26th, 2009 at 14:39 | #11

the challenges are optional, however besides getting trophies you also unlock upgrades for your character by completing them,,, so they are good to complete as you complete the story if you can… especially since some require a certain weapon or situation, and ammo is limited, its good to keep your eyes open for opportunities right away.

just got this game off ebay a couple days ago so waiting for it to come in the mail. i’ve wanted it for a while and think it looks really cool.
i’m pissed though that “bionic commando: rearmed” has now been moved from the section “will be patched to have trophies” to the section “will not have trophies”. it seems it would have been so easy to make the medals from in-game into trophies. oh well…

The game is great. The grappling is fun and the trophies are just challenges that u unlock the one sucky part is that if there is a challenge u cant complete like kill 4 people with a granade then u cant unlock the next one thus hindering you from a trophy. But overall it was still fun, it took me like 2 days to platinum it though hehe same went for terminator and damnation

HATE collection trophys. And hate collecting things in a game that both benefit you in no way, and are excessive. eg. 200 pigeons in GTA4 ,150ish treasures in T.R.U, 130+ is it collectables in this game…?
If you didnt need to WASTE time collecting things that dont benefit you at all, this game would be good. But ive ejected it from the ps3 around 10 times today simply because it bores me Madly. Whos idea was it to have Minimal chekpoints & collectables you gota get over n over again Every time you die. Idiots!!

Take a lesson from Bioshock – evry collectable is audio relevant to the story & some really do liven the game up, if its not tapes its a new power to use.
More than just saying go collect them n b happy with it like this
IGN cant review to save a life

@evz I totally feel you , you wouldnt believe how many times finding collectables has stopped me from gettting platinums , especially when your missing one from the whole damn game . Uncharted and Wanted are just few , in Uncharted i played it over and ended up missing one in the end , screwing me over . Wanted , even though they tell you how many more you need , they dont tell you one damn thing where it could possibly be . Trophies should be a challenge , like doing a certain combo ex amount of times , not finding collectables that look nice and have no point at all .

At first, I thought this game would be open-world gameplay like GTA, Prototype, inFamous but nope, a totally LINEAR game that bores you with rare checkpoints and little replay value. I enjoyed it on my first playthrough then meh, even consider selling it.

Like Evz mentionned, collectibles should matter in a game; or give you perks worthy of spending all that time wandering the game.

On a last thought, it’s not surprising that GRIN closed down… all their latest games weren’t as good as expected. Heck, just look at Terminator Salvation… that’s a real joke! I hope this will send a warning to the gaming industry that gamers won’t tolerate a rushed out product that’s under achieving.
