MemberHelp!!! I cannot get my PS3 online anymore!!
I am getting this error all of a sudden, ever since I updated my software. I have googled, but all i can find to solve it is to disconnect power cables and reconnect, and do the same with phone lines etc.
The thing is, my internet works perfectly, so how would disconnecting it help? Has anyone on here had the same problem since updating to 2.70?

Participantusually these errors fix themselves. try waiting a day first, then post back if you can't get back online at all.

MemberShades right. Nothing to worry about just one day of being offline.

Participantif it is a firmware problem, sony probaly already know about it, so not to worry too much.

Participantthere is a lesson here. don't update it if it's working 😀
I think I've skipped th elast 2 or 3 firmware updates.

Memberseriously, i have never had any problems with updates. no issues with any firmware updates in the past. None of my friends have had any problems either…so i dont know why so much people get problems.
and the new update is very good… the in-game xmb is so damn fast, no wait time at all, and peoples gamercards load 1000000 times faster. Text-chat is AMAZING, i was texting with 6 friends, and it was very cool. And using the text-chat in-game works perfectly.
but yea, most problems are solved in 1 or 2 days.

Participantoh yeah im certainly not saying the firmware updates are bad. im just saying sometimes it is good to wait a couple days before getting the updates just in case there are any overlooked issues.
A PRIME xample would be the Windows XP Service Pack 3 Update. when it first came out, there were serious incompatability issues with SP3 and AMD machines. the issue was so bad, SP3 was recalled for a while, since some AMD machines were completely bricked.
But, if people waited a couple days, they wouldn't run that risk. I for one have only AMD machines purely because i think they are stronger and more powerful than intel machines. I'm glad i didn't run that risk.

luckily i have a MAC, never any problems at all! i have windows for MAC, but it is a lot better than windows on PC's.
