Sony said this game will have exclusive online. I also heard that we need to pay for the online on that game. Do you think its fair?
August 12, 2009 at 2:29 am #36794parnakasMemberNever fair to pay for online. It is part of the game. Why pay for the game twice? That is the main reason i hate Xbox live (and that it has shit games).
No one should have to pay for online. If they want people to pay for online, put it on another disc, sell it as a different game.

maybe not greedy to pay for online on a game, but the Xbox Live is definitely greedy. If you already bought the system, why should you have to pay to get that system online? Your paying to get a service that you buy more things on, and to communicate with friends. Lame.

August 12, 2009 at 4:05 am #36817BdamacMemberwell if you play any good online game like World of warcraft that one you have to pay for so i expected the same for this game and the agency which is another online game form sony which there deciding on the price for that game. its fair if it the price is right for both games cause i want to get both so the online price will make or break my decision

the reason why people pay for online material is to give the game developers thier continuing job.
if the developers can continue to make the game better (e.g. world of warcraft and it's all-to-often amazing patches), then why not pay for that privilidge?
it's usually a very small amount. although I'd rather not pay for online gaming, the one that you do have to, are often better.
the exception there of-course is xbox-live… they don't really continue to develop the games, they just want more money from people to play online.
August 12, 2009 at 1:12 pm #36872BdamacMemberi will never own an xbox never
August 12, 2009 at 1:51 pm #36873NodanodMemberhmmmmmmmm………..
I was starting to wonder if sonys free internet would be able to support the increasing amount of ps3s on the net…. with funding it could be better functioning, however that takes away one of the consoles prime selling points, i dno….
August 12, 2009 at 2:47 pm #36882BigWoopMagazineMemberyes, with more funding servers can be maintained and made more reliable, giving better connections for your games and eliminating nuisance problems much more quickly, like glitches and hackers etc. However, as sony, and before that even blizzard entertainment, have shown that if the game sells well enough these things can be maintained without that additional cost to the consumer. Generally you get the game update add-ons as well like in WoW, but I don't see why they couldn't go the route of fallout 3 by providing 5 add-ons and give you the option of whether or not to buy them. I certaintly don't want to pay a monthly fee for on-line, and won't be doing it.
August 12, 2009 at 2:52 pm #36883pool96MemberI've never played FF before but I thought it was a RPG. I mean maybe monthly payments for a MMO would be okay but not for a normal RPG!
