Does anybody know where one can find theme songs or a soundtrack to a certain game? Im looking for the theme from Eat Lead: The Return of Matt Hazard and other songs from other games.April 21, 2009 at 8:11 pm #23533
to be honest, the best way to find game music is to look on a variety of sites.
OC-Remix is a fantastic website for people who create remixed music of game soundtracks. because anyone can do it, anyone can also download the music for Free: http://www.ocremix.org/
they even sometimes release full albums of remixed music such as: http://ff7.ocremix.org/
Now there is also a website called Galbadia Hotel. This website contains lots of Original Soundtracks of games to download. http://gh.ffshrine.org/
you should also check galbadia hotel's forums, where lots of other people submit whole albums of OSTs as well: http://forums.ffshrine.org/index.php (Just use the search feature)
Another way to obtain them is Peer to Peer fil sharing via torrenting. I use: https://isohunt.com because it has secure certificates (https) and seems to be the best torrent search engine in my opinion.
So that should just about cover you 😀

if your looking for an indivdual song i use http://skreemr.com/ and sometimes http://beemp3.com/index.php (because of being able to click on the links for the album make it easier). But if you have mozilla firefox on your pc get the add-on download helper and simply download the videos of the songs of youtube, then extract the audio, and finally convert the music file from .flv to .mp3. Hope that helps in some wayApril 21, 2009 at 9:08 pm #23539
downloading videos of youtube will not give you a good quality mp3. it will be a very low bit-rate.April 21, 2009 at 10:32 pm #23544kingofgames73Member
yeah it may be bad quality but its the only way i can get this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Y9azQNA_cg (my fave joke song, the 360 hate song lol) quality change isnt that noticeable imo except on some songs. But if your desperate for a song and dont do torrents youtube`s pretty handyApril 21, 2009 at 10:35 pm #23545
Appreciate the help. Im going to try those websites.April 21, 2009 at 10:40 pm #23546
i just realised that a couple of the links i gave have on the end. don't know exactly why, but if you take this off the end you'll get the websites I posted about.April 21, 2009 at 11:16 pm #23550
I noticed most of the songs im trying to find are from games that are for the ps3, but cant seem to find any. I do remember some other game songs on one of the websites though. man I feel old.April 21, 2009 at 11:51 pm #23551XeroTheGreatMember
Google it. It usually returns something. Or, an advanced technique I use sometimes if i'm desperate for music is to type in google inurl index of (whatever you are looking for). i once got a whole album that way.
Also, have a look at Newgrounds Audio portal. There are some game soundtrack remixes (and a load of other amazing songs), all to be downloaded for free, under Creative Commons.
P.S Shadeblack, your 1st and 3rd link give 404sApril 22, 2009 at 12:21 am #23554
I tried that but unfortunately no luck.April 22, 2009 at 5:16 pm #23623
what exactly are you looking for?April 22, 2009 at 9:40 pm #23625
Its the theme song from Eat Lead: The Return of Matt Hazard. Also, I have some other songs i would like to get, but they r from the PS3. I dont think that they had time to come out with the songs yet.April 23, 2009 at 12:02 am #23645
err no you've gotta wait at least a little while.
sony tends to not release the osts of their games. multiplatform games don't often get osts either. Well not in the US or UK anyway.April 23, 2009 at 12:42 am #23646Hurley48Member
