Hi, I have a small problem with playing online with my friends on FIFA 10
For example: If I invite them to a head to head game, on my screen it says that I am still searching for opponents when the other person has already joined the game, and on their screen it won't let them change countries, leagues, clubs or even select the currently chosen club.
This also happens on CoD: WaW, I get invited to a game then it says 'an error has occured' or 'server connection has times out'.
Is there something wrong with my internet? or my PS3? It can't just be a bug in the games because my friend's can play eachother fine on both games.
October 5, 2009 at 10:33 pm #44929x_D3adk0wn_xMemberif its just a problem that recently started, it might be the same issues a few of us here are getting when trying to connect to PSN or play online.. not sure what the issue actually is..but it is not affecting everyone..
if the games worked fine before and you didnt change anything yourself then its probably this.. if not, try checking your modem's firewall to make sure you have the proper ports open.. the following article may help if this is the issue

October 5, 2009 at 11:01 pm #44935Uber_RaggsyMemberWell, the problem has always been there, It did the exact same thing with FIFA 09 also, but I could play online with my friends on CoD: Modern Warfare on the Xbox 360.
I'll have a look at the article, thanks.
October 5, 2009 at 11:09 pm #44939Uber_RaggsyMemberI've had a look at the article, but I'm not sure how to open ports and such, where do I need to go? Any help with that would be greatly appreciated also.
NOTE: I don't know if this helps but as I said I can't play head to head with my friends but I can play be a pro with them.
October 6, 2009 at 12:16 am #44948x_D3adk0wn_xMemberhmm.. have you trird to reset your modem? at present, because i have all of the ethernet ports on my modem used up, if i swap my cable to my 360 i have to reset the modem to get a fresh IP for the 360.. its dumb but what can you do? lol
to open ports you need to access the modem's settings.. use the following link to help.. hope it works
October 6, 2009 at 8:40 am #45007Uber_RaggsyMemberI followed the website, and there doesn't seem to be one for FIFA 10, but there is one for CoD: WaW and I followed that so I shall check if that works soon.
I tried to do FIFA 09 on it but it said that my modem couldn't forward enough ports I think.
October 6, 2009 at 5:42 pm #45027x_D3adk0wn_xMemberjust try opening TCP 10070 – 10080 and UDP 10070 – 10070. those are the default ports for the PS3 itself.. no real need to open them for individual games, i just gave that link so you would knkow how to open them on your modem..
either open them using the ranges there, or add your PS3 to a DMZ on your modem if it has that option

You can play each other on an unranked online team play and all you have to do is change camera
