MemberI got the Platinum a while ago before there were any really good car location guides, but this one looks good, although I don't know firsthand how accurate it is. Couldn't hurt though. Also, yeah, getting the cars is the worst thing in the game. It's soul-crushing.

This is the one I've been using. Its okay but not great. Thanks anyway
In fairness, the tip they give for getting 2 & 4 door and sports vehicles to spawn does work more often than not.

MemberI'd recommend using the spawn “cheat”. It'll take some of the time out of it.
Was getting a bit frustrated with the Moose trophy. After 4 failed attempts I actually read what was required (no cover or incognito) so maybe I'll try and get that again tonight

The moose trophy is pretty easy to get, you just have to know not to go incognito

MemberIf I'm being blunt i actually found this game pretty boring… Sure it's interesting, unique and technically sound… The facial animations and graphics were amazing…
But the missions and game were rather bland… The pacing of the game and lack of big 'set pieces' was horrible? A few fist fights and some weak car chases doesn't make up for it's slow, plod along pace… It reminded me of a PC 'point and click' style game?
I think Noire was a tech. experiment made into a game, a bit like Heavy Rain… Showing off what is possible and what the future of gaming has to offer us? Now that the hype has gone, my friends who haven't already finished the game kinda say the same thing… The game seems to drag a bit, and the 'freeroam' collectibles are a grind.
I'm not saying it's bad game… Just a slightly boring one??

MemberCollectibles are just a way to extend the time you spend on/in the game. You'll quite frequently see games companies PR departments saying that you get 'x' amount of hours from the single player mode but an extra 4-5 with all the “bonus content”!!
This is fine if the content is interesting, however, lets be honest, if it wasn't for the trophies very few of us would have bothered with the vehicles, landmarks and film reels. Same with the feathers in the AC games etc
I'm not too bothered about the lack of set pieces. It would have maybe spoilt the game a bit to have had anything too “Hollywood” included. Could you imagine watching LA Confidential with a Bad Boys 2 scene??
The only real gripe I have is that a number of my friends who are Police Officers have played the game and have failed miserably on the interrogations/intervews and I don't think that part of the game was particularly well done (and as a CSI it did drive me a little bit mad when Cole kept picking up blood stained wrenches etc
).
As much as I enjoyed the game, there is very little to keep me coming back, apart from the trophies (DAMN YOU SONY
) and once the final bits of DLC are released I will no doubt be trading it.

MemberFound me all my cars tonight… The sports cars seemed to be the worst… I left my last 'secret' car for a stress free No.95
Do people even do these kinds of trophies without guides?
Doubtful…
—
Next up the film reels… Least they won''t randomly generate roughly somewhere on the map… Then move about some more
———–
I just think the game lacked a strong main plot line and a few action sequences… Even some prolonged moments of 'mild peril' would have been nice…
Even though it might have been more predictable i think it would've given more scope for game play options if *Cole had been framed and pursued by the police… It's always a bit more intense if your running away rather than chasing, no?* (Might be classed as an anti-spoiler?)

Same thing I'm doing. Last dlc comes on july 12th here in canada, so I'll trade it in on the 13th
And the reason he kept picking up the “bloody wrenches etc.” with his bare hands, is because they actually did that a whole lot in the 40's. They did not really do much finger print analasis then, not until the late 50's and early 60's.

Yeah I know there wasn't the forensic capabilities back then but there was a certain level of common sense that could be applied. Don't worry about me, I'm just be overly picky

MemberI completed Nicholsen DLC today. I’m hoping that the last DLC doesn’t suck because, like most of you, it will be my last moments of the game. I thought the Vice cases were the worst and Roy Earle was a tool. I wish the last would be the Elizabeth Short case, where the BD cuts her in half.(This actually happened! Look up the corpse at your own risk.) Even though the Homicide cases were the longest, it’d still be good to meet up with the greatest character of all time: Finbarr “Rusty” Galloway!
