MemberMY friend recently got a PS3, however he is not what I consider to be a “hardcore gamer.”
He's looking for any PS3 games (whether PSN or Disc-based) that doesn't require much work in order to grasp the concept of the game and play it. I'm somewhat lost because most of the games I have require a learning curve. Does anybody have any ideas? Maybe a sort of button mashing game?March 13, 2011 at 5:35 am #69253Seibei4211
MemberUmmmm…Katamari Forever? Oh, and maybe Flower.

MemberWhy don’t you just recommend easy mode for actually good games? That way, no learning curve, less suck.

Memberyeah COD is easy to get to grips with and maybe something like GT5 or DiRT 2

MemberWell, the main issue is that he usually isn't on long enough to get into the single player of some games like COD. He has GT5, but is usually on for 30mins or so at a time. So I was thinking like a cheap PSN game where you just hold down the shoot button and move around…I told him about Super Stardust HD, because I found that game to be mindless.

MemberDead Nation, Magic Orbz, Age of Booty, Noby Noby Boy (I'm throwing this in because it fits the criteria, even though it's SHITE!) or Deathspank.
Or any of the Ratchet and Clank games. Burnout Paradise is also a doddle to pick up and you can drop in and out without a bother.

MemberAnother game to throw into the mix is Shatter. It’s like breakout, has very vibrant colors and visuals, and the soundtrack is amazing. It’s a very satisfying, relaxing, easy game. The stages are pretty short and for some of the stages you could just hold down the fire button. Easily the game that fits the bill best imo.

MemberGod of War is pretty mindless, and one of the best games you can buy.
Easy mode is fairly easy as well. No real learning curve, you can just beat the crap out of one button.

Already did that.
I told him about the above games and he's checking them out to see if he will like them. Thanks for the advice! (knew I could count on this site)
