mint! but if im perfectly honest i wouldve preferred it if they stuck with the normal jungles, mud tracks etc because i think they did really well in making the game fun. whether it was flying off a cliff or skidding round a muddy corner, i loved all of that stuff and enjoyed M2 a lot.
then again though, from them screenshots and the ideas of thing crashing down on you, it soinds good (:
At least they haven't mentioned anything about a “weapons system”, but Motorstorm IMO was all about learning the terrain, how each vehicle handled… Learning all the bumps and slides, how to make the perfect corner… All about the driving!
They seem to be moving further and further away from the original idea. Trying to add more “action” – weep. And i would say we have enough of those already? MS was a pure driving experience albeit on alternative surfaces… No weapons, no mods, just driving…
MS2 was pretty good, and i liked the diff. areas… The use of water and how it effected boost etc.
It's sad to see the MS franchise trying to fit in with the more “mainstream” driving games… I just hope they don't spoil it to much
I dont see how you guys are judging the game from a few pictures. When we see some gameplay (maybe at E3) then I think you can judge it. We don't know what the dev's are gunna do with this game yet and I hope its something good.
I loved the original Motorstorm, didn't get the second game because I had racer boredom. I agree if weapons or anything similar are put in that takes away from the core element of the game – racing, are put in, it could be a bad move. This could work out well though, Half-Collapsed bridges, racing through semi-destroyed buildings.
Keep in mind though that these are all just rumours, even though it's probable we should at least wait until E3 before making any serious judgements.
