Usually that entails an essay length rant from myself. But I've surprised myself by actually loving this game. I started the campaign on veteran and now I'm on my second playthrough to clean up the remaining trophies and the game is still entertaining me.
The MW series has managed to do something that both BF3 and MoH have failed to do; create characters that I actually give a shit about. Price, Soap, Sandman and even Yuri all have personality and presence. And they come packaged in a dynamic (if familiar) blockbuster of a game. It's not often I get a proper thrill from a set piece or sequence in a game but MW3 got me a few times.
It's not perfect, the guns still feel weightless and the movement is lagging behind what DICE are doing but they did manage to avoid the retarded scripting that made BO, MoH and BF3 such an irritation to play.
How did the rest of ye feel about the game? I've yet to start the spec ops but they're supposed to be quality.
I thought the game was nothing new but kind of fun. I was hyped for the campaign but it was a let down and I actually found the multiplayer to be kinda fun while I had it. The spec ops on the other hand is fun but when going for trophies or veteran/3 stars it is a little b!tchy. I just wished that (it may never happen) they would go back to how World At War was. World at War had an interesting, gritty, and fun campaign overall but was overall a great game IMO probably my favorite COD so far.
So the spec ops didn't impress me like I thought they would. At best they felt like co-op sections of the campaign (with no plot) and at worst they were a fcuking grind that we were glad to see the end of. The pace was far more varied than MW2 but none of the missions had the right balance between difficulty and progress.
Anyways, survival is up next and hopefully that'll be more entertaining. One question though. For the three trophies that require you to buy all options in the three armouries, is it in one session?
