hey guys my ps3 got a heart attack

what should i do buy a new HDD for 80 bucks and replace it

OR…

buy a new PS3 ????

I’d get the the PS3 Slim with 120 gig. It’s up to you because if it’s something to do with your disk drive etc, a new HDD won’t help ya!

it says my HDD file is damaged and it needs to be restored
so i did that and nothing happened
so i went to a store and asked the problem
the guy told me that the HDD is screwed and i need a new one

Well it really depends, how much memory are you going to get on your new HDD for $80?

If it's bigger than the slim's 120GB than it's probably your best choice.

I upgraded my 60GB to 250GB and it really wasn't that bad.

Just make sure you be really, really careful with the blue screws.

I would check for prices on a new HDD.. if you find some cheap ones, then just replace it. If they cost as much as the Slim, then i would say go for the Slim.

look online about how to take apart your PS3 it happened to my uncles one before he did it in like 15mins

Sorry wrong thread thats was how to get your disc out if it was stuck in there.

the NEW hdd is a 160 gb so i think ill just replace it 🙂
