I posted a trophy guide for FIFA 10 yesterday and it would not for the life of me format the way i wanted it to. I changd it with lots of Asterisks to invoke a carriage return but still looked terrible,I then couldnt change it because somebody replied. For whatever reason it will not look right no matter what i do.

I re wrote the guide in doc docx html and still nothing. I used CoryAllen's layout for his guides and rewrote mine accordingly and still nothing. The paste button for plain text and Word just brings up a blank screen and i think this is what i need to post a guide formatted correctly. Anyone else have problems with this paste from word button or should i change some settings on my side?

think i had similar problems when using microsoft word, best bet is to copy and paste text into notepad then copy that, paste it onto post and do the fancy stuff on the website
oh and my keyboard has officially died, no more essays from me 4 awhile

Do exactly what kingofgames73 said.

Paste it into notepad, or just type out the guide from scratch in the comment box. It has to do with the formatting of Word.

um i use word and it works fine other than the color doesn't carry over when you insert it. glad you liked my format enough to use it gnilsia lol

the preview button does wonders, good sir!

I dunno why you're having so much trouble… did you posting guidelines at all?

always copy your guide in a plain app with no formatting first, then paste into the forum and edit with it's own formatting options.

notepad, or wordpad both work fine.

if you decide to try again, make sure you preview the outlook of the guide before actually posting it.

Yeah i didnt see the preview burtton until it was too late My bad . No matter what i try i couldnt get the import to work with paste from text editor or paste from word?! I reposted it and made all the changes manually but it isn’t the first post in the topic which now looks stupid ! I must be doing something wrong if CoryAllen has it working qith the import,maybe a font or something isn’t compatible i dunno but thanks for the help guys i did what u said and manually formatted it, I will know for the next time!

EDIT thanks also to PS3 trophies for fixing my post lol good work 🙂
