Has Sony shut down the PSN worldwide or is it just England, I wonder what they could be doing?

US is shut down. I just got on my PS3 on my lunch break to check out batman, and couldn't log in. Wonder for how long?

Sounds to me like they're preparing for 3.00. I think they shut down the servers at 4PM GMT.

It went down worldwide at 16:15 BST, obviously that time varies depending on where you live. I'm guessing they're are currently about half way through.

not sure… insania's cough cough might be a good hint there. Perhaps testing new 3.0 features, and maybe trying to work out any bugs w/cross chat etc on the network. I'm not too worried, batman all night once I'm off work, I could give a crap less if the network was up. Nice to know my router isn't the problem though

i think if u were signed in before 4.15 you can stay signed in during the maintenance! thats why i’m online right now

I just got on it a few minutes ago to play MAG beta (11:41 a.m) atm

It will be under maintenance from 4.15 pm to 9.05 pm GMT.

If you were signed in before 4.15 you should be able to keep your connection going but will probably be signed out and have to re-sign in at 9.05 pm
