Grabbed this on (it's eventual) EU release but so far I've only given it a brief couple of hours and most of that was spent split-screening against friends.

Mixed feelings…

There definitely is a sense of childish delight at re-visiting a series that I've loved from its PS1 days and the characters/vehicles are just as cool as they always were. 

But what the shit were they thinking with the controls?!?!

They are, literally, as un-intuitive as you could possibly get. They've put huge effort into making sprawling, crazy levels that I haven't been able to even look at because I've spent the whole time struggling with my car and trying to figure out what explosions I'm causing and what buttons I mashed to cause them.

It looks like I'm going to have to give in and actually play the tutorial
