BigWoop – Yea, its weird that there is no trophy for beating it on the hardest mode, but i wouldn't call it disappointing.
I mean, im still going to do it, but theres no pressure to beat it. I though it would be that secret trophy on the list at the end, but it was just beating that box without dying (highlight to show trophy).
Yea, I guess its just cause I know I'll do it anyway (GOW fan HARDCORE!!! RAAAHHHH!!), and it'd be cool to get credit for it. I was dissapointed with the collection too that there were no difficulty trophies, since I had already done both of them on the hardest mode, and wouldn't have minded doing it again. Ahhh well, at least I'll know in my heart that I can fully rock the GOW universe, and therefore I am a video game badass…. right?

Member@Sticky – I gave the trophy to I773D33MABL3 last night, if you need it too my PSN ID is same as here, or maybe he'll help you. Just don't expect me to play a full round or anything, I'm not a fan of the MP in this game.

Good stuff. I thought from day one that this game would feel so much more natural and engaging with the Move. The controls as is are good, but I'll defnitely play through again if I get Move to check it out.

MemberWell the rip off pricing may be activision, but the decision to rehash old maps due to lazyness and a lack of innovation or creativity I can still blame on IW, right? If I'm wrong again well then FU to whoever deserves it, Cracktivision or whatever.

MemberI never realized there was a Ghost 2.0 remake, or I would have mentioned it. Good heads up. I also never realized there was a sequel movie – I suppose if its the way you say it is, I probably never heard of it since it was maybe a flop. That is the one thing tho, I enjoyed the philosophical stuff in GITS, but if you try too hard to put that in and its not just there as a result of the story line, it can come out as crap.
@NinjaCat – if you actually do pick up Waking Life, be aware that it is purely a philosophical plot – there is no action in this movie. It has a good plot, but the first half hour is going to bombard you with these complicated intellectual ideas that you probably won't understand at first – I know I didn't. You have to be in the mood to think in order to watch it. I had to watch it probably 3 or 4 times before I thought I fully understood every part of it – but if you can enjoy such type of thinking and analysis of the world and how we percieve/interact with it, you might find it to be a some what enlightening experience. heh, or you'll hate me for having recommended it, some people just think its boring.

MemberI think its an incredibly cheap gimmick. First off, I'm really not happy about the prices we've been paying for DLC maps on any game – really it should be 10 maps for $10. Here you get 5, which would be good with respect to the console map pack trend, except two of them are just rehashes of the old maps. The hell is the point of that? I'll just put CoD4 back in and play em for free, thank you. With MW2 striking me as a really expensive map pack in the first place, this reusing of old maps is a retarded ploy to get more cash out of you while doing less work. Thanks for nothing IW.

Memberyea, actually, to follow up on my long winded comment from earlier – I found it hard to down on the anime I see so commonly on American tv, but then recommend anime at the same time. However, the two movies I mentioned, Akira and Ghost in the Shell, are both very well done, especially if you keep in mind when watching them that they are over 25 years old. If you're into anime, absolutely pick these two up and check them out.
BigWoopMagazine
MemberNope. I almost signed up to be on the show, actually… and now I'm glad I didn't. The fact that none of their competition has anything to do with gaming means I would have dropped immediately anyway – not that I couldn't do what they're doing (which I'm not really sure what that actually is), but on principle alone that I would have been decieved about what I was signing up for.

MemberGod no, not any more. I used to watch Dragon Ball Z when I was like 10, and now I look back at it and think “really? I liked this? what was wrong with me?” The episodes are 2/3 talking about the fight they're going to have, then 1/3 fighting, but half the time its just them blipping back and forth because they can go super speed or whatever, then the episode always ends without ending the fight, only to start the next episode with another 15 minutes of talking about that they need to finish the fight. Then you watch the animation during these conversations and notice the characters always stand inhumanly still and the only part that moves is their mouth, which never matches the animation since it was dubbed. The colors and costumes are always so atrocious, with ridiculous terminology always hinting at a deep lore that really doesn't exist. The only ones I've ever seen that I could take seriously in any way were Ghost in the Shell (the movie), and Akira – both of which are classics that had ground breaking animation for the time, but it was the late 1980's. Today they all seem to have animation of a comparable level, if even that good, but its been 20 years, so it doesn't make sense! Plus, none of them ever reach the depth of philosophical implications relevant to the story that Ghost in the Shell does. If you could name one that does, I might check it out. I did check out the series of Ghost in the Shell briefly, but it really didn't ring true with the original, in terms of philisophical depth, which is what made it appealing to begin with. I suppose if that were the case, I could give it another shot, but anymore the only cartoons I watch are purely for humor – Futurama of course, and South Park. Some old Simpsons episodes too (the new ones suck). If you do want to watch a really good animated movie however, go get Waking Life. Its American, and extremely philosophical, but if you watch and pay enough attention, it may change the way you think about life and the world around you. Or you'll say this is a load of crap and throw it out the window, but I think its worth a go.

MemberI'm glad you appreciate it. Ever since I saw this episode, I have been trying to get anyone interested in the topic to check it out. It presents the exact arguments I've been using for years, but with good examples, research, interviews, and humor injected into it. Its really a great show, Penn and Teller address many current social, political, and economic issues and they're pretty much no holds barred on it – and the great thing is that there is an episode where they address the idea of taking anything anyone says at face value. Don't just watch it and go “wow, those guys are right!”. Look it up for yourself, do some research, and confirm it. They did, but they make it a point to say, “Hey, we might be bullshitting you, so go try to prove us wrong if you're not sure.” Which is great, because a lot of the problem with our video game argument is that the majority of people arguing against it have never done any research, never played them to see how it effects themself as an individual, and simply sees a glimpse of the content leading them to the immediate assumption that this is horrible and evil. People that assume things and argue that the assumption is the truth are horrible and evil, even if they don't realize it. It happens entirely too often, and it needs to stop.
Off Topic Note – while this is one of my favorites since I am an avid video gamer, another favorite episode is where they address the eco concerns of our “energy crisis”, and point out that environmentalists arguing against nuclear power are simply flat out wrong. I talk to these environmentalists on the street on a regular basis, always pointing out that I will not donate money to their hypocritical cause due to their opposition of the true solution to clean energy. I find that most of them have never even given it a thought beyond “well Green Peace told me its bad, so it must be true”. Again, too many people have this attitude about too many issues. Please, if you have any interest in clean energy and the whole global warming issue, go watch that, and again – do research. The Episode is entitled “Nukes, Hybrids and Lesbians”: http://www.free-tv-video-online.info/player/megavideo.php?id=W5HPYP66 (Again, its a half hour long, but the critical part is the nuclear power, not so much the hybrids and lesbians. Also, profanity, nudity, etc, mature, you have been warned.)

MemberHow about an opposing view on the subject, that actually talks to these people, interviews them, and then tells them exactly why they are ignorant ***NO PROFANE LANGUAGE PLEASE***? Yeah, I thought you'd like that. Penn and Teller: Bullshit is a fantastic show full of gratuitous nudity and foul language, but in the process always raises good points on convoluted issues. Following is a link to an episode they did fully on the video games issue, and a warning that this is for mature audiences only. Cause I know all you guys are over 18 years old, right?

Also, I'm not entirely sure of the legality of the episode being posted on that website, so I claim I'm not responsible for you clicking on that. But you should totally watch it. PS: its a full half hour episode, watch the whole thing. The ending really makes the point.

MemberLet it be noted too, that just like the previous god of war titles, finding all the feathers, eyes, and horns as early as possible will cause the rest of those special chests to yield red orbs instead – which should help a lot. Also, use evade a lot to try to keep your combos going – constantly getting high combos yields many more orbs. Pay attention to when you can get brutal kills for extra orbs too, and use them. EDIT: A good example is the lost souls you see randomly all over the place – you can kill them normally and get squat, but grabbing them yields a +5 orb bonus. Its not a lot, but do it enough and it adds up – at the end of my normal run I was a mere 2000 orbs short of maxing out, and a few more chests plus some of these grabs probably would have had me there.
@Kevin – getting more orbs makes the game much easier – hence, easy mode give you more orbs. When you play the harder modes, you probably want to plan ahead of time which things to upgrade and when, since you'll get less orbs and have much more limited options.
Is anyone else dissapointed theres no trophy for beating the hardest mode? I know I am.

MemberWhy are Fat Princess trophies stupid? I thought they made sense, and the arena one is pretty challenging (I still haven't got it). Totally agree on the Burnout Paradise, I did everything in that game necessary for a Platinum probably 3 times now, but didn't get the platinum until that contest we had, and specifically had to hunt down a webcam to borrow to get it. Once you have the cam its the easiest thing ever, but how stupid? I should have mooned them for it too, but only thought of it later.

So since this is GoW anyway can someone confirm that weh U use those godly possesions U R not able to unlock the trophies ?
Yes. The game tells you specifically with a pop up message when you try to turn them on, and asks if you would like to continue. One of the first things I checked after beating the game.

MemberI have it. Send me a PSN message. I'll hop in and then hop out – the online is dead for a reason – it sucks laggy balls.
