MemberL4D wasn't that great. Its not bad, but it just got so much rediculous hype and its primarily because its a valve game, and they brought us so much other great game material. I was personally dissapointed it wasn't come to ps3, until I played it. It'd be nice, but not that big a loss. HL2 E3 on the other hand, I can't wait, and is there any more news on this or does it just not exist? Thats what I really want from valve, that and more portal levels, or an actual shooter game with the portal gun. How fantastic would that be, creating portals you could shoot through, or just so you can jump out behind your enemies? I see some rediculous gameplay with something like that, and I'm really surprised they haven't tried doing it yet.

MemberThe game developers readily defined that all man made objects are destructible. If you want to experience manipulation of the geography, try out fracture. A game with a great idea and a poor delivery, but definitely worth playing just to try it out. You can go thru the floors tho, if it happens to be a man made floor,,, an ability I'm sure will come in handy.

Memberdomba – yes, traditionally they are, because they're tied to a movie license. This causes decisions on what goes in the game to be called by people who don't normally make games. These restrictions normally result in a very half assed turn out for two reasons: 1) It focuses on remaining as true to the movie as possible, leaving out the idea that a game should be fun, and 2) the game developers have no creative say in what to do, and thus care much less about the outcome of said game. However, this game is NOT attached to a movie license, so those two problems go right out the window. It is simply meant to be a sequel to the movies, is written by the same guys that wrote the originals, so should have a decent plot, and has all the correct voice actors. Theres a lot of potential for a great game here, since the only real boundaries is that they manage to form a coherent story line, which shouldn't be difficult. Lets cross our fingers and hope its a worthy addition to the franchise.

MemberYup, late summer. I believe this game is supposed to give you the choice between stealth and brute force for any situation, which is the whole point of the thing. Sometimes it will become very clear that one works better than the other for a certain situation, and thats where the fun comes in… figuring out what approach is best and then executing it. I'm kind of glad that this isn't an open world game, since theres so many of them, and I'm getting sick of having to learn an entire city every time I pop a new game in… between all the GTAs, Infamous, and Red Faction, I'm sure by the time this releases I'll be glad for a linear yet kick ass game. Anyone see that detective mode thing? Looks like a pretty sweet way to make use of stealth abilities…

MemberI played only multiplayer in the original, briefly, but I definitely remember it being very cool to blow a hole in the wall in order to shoot an opponent on the other side… Very excited for this release tomorrow,,, what a time for video games, I just beat infamous, have only played like 2 hours into bionic commando, red faction tomorrow, uncharted 2 beta the next day, and in two weeks the new ghostbusters… Man, I'm never gonna see the sun again… if any one wants to play some multiplayer of any of those games, psn message me, I'm down for it.

MemberI think you're on the right track with that. My evidence is just that I started a new game and when you look around, you can't find any shards until after the mission where you meet Moya, and you find you're first one under the bridge. After that mission, I immediately went south to start systematically finding them, and went to the back of a building where I found one before, but nothing was there… leading me to believe they are randomly placed. However, once I've cleared an area, I've never seen any return there, so I think they are randomly placed after the aforementioned mission…

MemberUncharted. hah thats it.
and freak, I think I found the same glitch, I don't remember where or how but I KNOW I got outside the map once… it was very strange, I tried to walk around a little bit and I just got stuck, ended up blowing myself up with a grenade to get back to the checkpoint

Memberoh, also, yeah any of you guys on here feel free to add me, as long as you intend to play some games! cause I'm all about that, especially if ya got some headsets so we can use some strategery… but if you wanna add me just to compare trophies or whatever, don't bother. just assume you have more than me.
BigWoopMagazine
Memberhaha thats cool man, I'll add you when I get home… yeah that kid sounds sad… at least you can hop in a game with him and woop up anytime you need to feel good about your skillz… haha.

Memberparnakas – I still own MGS1 (+VR Missions!), 2, 3, and 4… and somewhere, although I'm not entirely sure where, I have the original Metal Gear for NES… unfortunately my NES is broken tho… so believe me, I did appreciate all the story line movie bs (some of those videos were pretty badass!), but it was just too much. The first time I beat it I was like “awesome” and by the time the ending movie ran through I was like “holy shit, how long was that?!”. Play it again and skip all the movies, you realize just how short a game it is. But seriously MGS1 is still my favorite, because I loved the gameplay. That had to be in the top 5 of games ever released for PSOne.
I'll be googling this dark void thing soon,,, I got an ad for it in one of my new games, either infamous or bionic commando, can't remember which… but I do beleive being a new IP gives a game great position to be a GOTY contender. If its well done and fun, and something we've never seen before, its gonna stand out like a sore thumb in a room full of tiny fingers… (did that make sense?)
Metal Gear?!

Memberhahaha, good one parnakas… I noticed that too. I'm saying they should give us the options tho… sometimes I'm in a zep mood, sometimes I want some harder metal like between the buried and me, and sometimes I want some happy-go-lucky bullshit like the beastie boys. How is that happy go luck you may ask? cause they make me laugh… but the tag I see that concerns me is that its free… and while free is good, it usually doesn't provide you with the options you want… and then eventually they go “oh well you can have those options, but gimme money first”.

Memberahhhhh indeed… i should have just sent him a message, but I had just got done like 5 hours of overtime and just wanted to play a little infamous before I passed out. I was kinda worried about getting friend spammed. I definitely have no problem with adding people from the boards to my friends list, cause I can generally tell whether or not I care to play games with them,,, but adding totally random people seems pointless, why would I care whether or not they're online or if I'm playing a game with them or not?
BigWoopMagazine
Memberparnakas – how do you know % story done? I didn't notice any stats anywhere really… cause I got a little over 22% trophies,,, I didn't think I was that far in the story . And there are some slight repeats… but that mostly just applies to the side missions, such as when you have to escort captives, and when you have to get rid of surveillance equipment, I've done a couple of those and I kinda hate them, they're a royal pain in the arse. Everything else is great tho…
