MemberPlayed Saints Row 2 and thought it was horrible… Lazy, ugly, pointless even. The fact that GTA4 had been released a few month before didn't help? The differences between those two games are pretty big? Looks entertaining don't get me wrong, but that doesn't always mean 'good'…
The handling of the vehicles will be an important factor for me…

I'm gonna need a bit more convincing to make it a day one purchase… I have bad memories from the second
Here's some gameplay – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eN2-WSyRuO0

Just another shooter really? I'm not expecting big things from this, not that i'm a 'shooter' fan anyway…

Awesome!!
(the only thing i don't like about the vid is the random 'presenter switch', the second pair seem clueless)
Enjoying Castevania a fair bit now actually… I've stopped at the sixth level, going back over the first few levels… trying to finishing some of the trials, could be playing it for some time

MemberI don't think I'll be buying any of those two games at launch…
I know for a fact that at least one of my friends will def. be getting U3 and another B:AC… So I'll buy or borrow them after my friends have had there fill.
Although I'm sure Uncharted 3 will be amazing, cinematic, well paced etc. etc., but I doubt it'll bring anything truly new or that i haven't seen before? The other two games were of such high standard, IMO, that it's hard to make big, noticeable changes for those that follow… The graphics will get a new coat of gloss and I'm sure there will be plenty of other tweaks, the new combat system looks sure to improve the gameplay, but I'm not sure what else there gonna have in there to 'blow me away'… I'm not a great fan of MP so that doesn't add to my interest as it may some, that's why it's not a day one purchase for me i'm afraid
Batman looks like it's gonna be very good, and a big improvement on the first, but nothing i can't wait for…
The only game i'm def. getting before DS & ESV:S, it's on pre-order, is Deus Ex (Augmented Edition)

I though dark souls comes out in october and i know oblivion comes out 11-11-11, november 11th
Ahhh… That'll be (Oct-Nov) then, not (Sept-Oct)
What a idiot
I knew the 11-11-11 date, I really don't know why I wrote that
Aaaanyway…
That's even better then, that's one more month before RPG's take over my life…
Playing some of CastleVania just now… Pretty good, disliking the fixed camera though…

MemberPicked up DJ Hero 2 and the 'turntable' for £12.99 yesterday… And while I'm not gonna play it on my main account, for that money it's still a bargain?

I don't think there are any games I'll want to buy until ME3 comes out… So I'm gonna hopefully catch up with some of my older games this month…
Still need to complete ME2 on Insane but Garrus is a f****NO PROFANE LANGUAGE PLEASE***!ng idiot

With Dark Souls and Elder Scrolls V both coming out a month(Sept-Oct) apart i can see my other games getting seriously neglected for a good few month after…

In the unlikely event that this isn't a complete piss-take, if anyone can land their hands on some I will pay for it!

A “real-life” retired LAPD detective assesses how realistic the game is. I don't know how seriously you can take a guy that pronounces it LA Nor………

Member12min of gameplay…
This is looking pretty sweet… The first game was good, the boss battles were a bit meh? But overall a very good game..

MemberLike most of you are saying, i really think Sony needed to include trophies with these double packs for them to work…
There is simply no reason to buy these… Why even release them??
The only way i could have seen Sony making money is if they had given exclusive trophy support to the double packs, rather than patching the games individually. They could have even made it a completely new trophy set, thus negating some of the flak they would've gotten for having trophy exclusivity in the first place… It would have made the decision to buy them or not more difficult, as it stands they don't interest me one bit…
I would've def. bought the R&C double pack
I can't find a good source, but it is apparently quite a fcuk about to patch a game for trophy support…

I only platinum games I really enjoy playing because i dont enjoy going through the pain to get trophies on games that are boring or way too repeatitive.
I doubt anyone really does… I hate it really, but the sadist in me loves the G-R-I-N-D, and normally pushes me to get those lovely, lovely… But totally pointless collectible/'rinse and repeat' based trophies
Most times the best part of a 'grind-ish' trophy is the relief and 'thank fcuk!!' factor you feel after you get it…
Then you can impress other geeks like – 'Hey, you know those million pointless orbs you (don't) have collect… Got them all…'
Doesn't really work with regular people though
I'm finishing up Alice and L.A Noire right now… Might start playing CastleVania properly after those, is the DLC any good??

Member@ HardAndSloppy
I have to agree with gr8jrfan… You're almost 3 levels above me on PSN but i've more than double your Plat's… And even if you're not in it for the trophies, going back over games you haven't played in a while and 'mopping up' some of the trophies would pad out your gaming time… And prob. boost your PSN level a decent bit in the process??
I notice you have a few easy games that you could Plat. that you havent… That you don't tend to play through on hard diff. or play MP… That you're not up for the G-R-I-N-D… Perhaps it's time to 'step your game up'??
(Understand i'm having a joke with you… Banter
Last time i tried to have a joke with someone about there trophies they took it rather badly
)

Play Demons Souls
That's a good 200 hours of gaming right there
**EDIT**
You Ninja'd my post… I didn't know you rented them, but still
You not get Gamefly or whatever it is where your at??

MemberFound me all my cars tonight… The sports cars seemed to be the worst… I left my last 'secret' car for a stress free No.95
Do people even do these kinds of trophies without guides?
Doubtful…

Next up the film reels… Least they won''t randomly generate roughly somewhere on the map… Then move about some more
———–
I just think the game lacked a strong main plot line and a few action sequences… Even some prolonged moments of 'mild peril' would have been nice…
Even though it might have been more predictable i think it would've given more scope for game play options if *Cole had been framed and pursued by the police… It's always a bit more intense if your running away rather than chasing, no?* (Might be classed as an anti-spoiler?)
Doc-B
MemberPretty cool…
I like the simplicity of it… The black/white with a dash of red… Fairly 'arty', very nice…

MemberIf I'm being blunt i actually found this game pretty boring… Sure it's interesting, unique and technically sound… The facial animations and graphics were amazing…
But the missions and game were rather bland… The pacing of the game and lack of big 'set pieces' was horrible? A few fist fights and some weak car chases doesn't make up for it's slow, plod along pace… It reminded me of a PC 'point and click' style game?
I think Noire was a tech. experiment made into a game, a bit like Heavy Rain… Showing off what is possible and what the future of gaming has to offer us? Now that the hype has gone, my friends who haven't already finished the game kinda say the same thing… The game seems to drag a bit, and the 'freeroam' collectibles are a grind.
I'm not saying it's bad game… Just a slightly boring one??
