Killer not everything has to be an argument. I'm sorry if you interpreted it as such. I was just saying that “not seeing the point” in something is a statement that can be used for almost anything if you arent involved/interested in it. That includes gaming. I personally don't think that about gaming… obviously, seeing as I game. But another person might. You took my statement too literally when it was only there to pose as an example.

I think it's a bit much to call people thuggish just because they are professional rugby and football players. And putting 'people' in quotes… are they less human than you or me? I hate to break it to you but boxers earn gross amounts of money as well but instead of running after a ball they bash eachothers faces in.

Of course, I do agree that its nonsensical for athletes and entertainers to be making more money than people who save lives for a living. However I don't think it's a reason to bash them. It's how society operates… it's not the athlete/entertainers fault they were lucky enough to get the exposure they needed for a skill they possess. I'm sure if you had the opportunity to make tons of money doing something you love and not being confined to the 9 to 5 shift day in and out, you would go for it. I think it would be hard to find someone who wouldn't. That doesn't make you a bad person. Heck, you could turn around and use your salary to help people in less fortunate living situations. I do recognize that there are multimillionaires out there who don't help though… and that is a problem.

Hey I've played rugby for 6 years. It's actually a very intense sport that requires a lot of self discipline. I'm positive the same holds true for football or any other sport for that matter. Tell me, what sport do you like… seeing as “running round after a ball ” can be applied to almost every athletic sport… whether it be running after a birdie, a tennis ball, a hockey puck… etc. In fact a comment like that can be applied to anything really.. even gaming. What's the point of gaming, all you do is move your thumbs around to control pixels for a couple hours.

Save you dislike for rugby for a different forum

Killer: I know there is ice on Mars but that does not automatically equate to life. NASA is trying to develop a drill that can go down 1-2 metres to potentially encounter water. I mean if there's ice on the surface of Mars, then there must be water at the subsurface of Mars right? It would be ideal to get to the subsurface of Mars because then we would have a complete thermal profile. We just can't get to it. Also, there is no scientific evidence for life CURRENTLY existing there. Astronomers have thought that maybe with the space probes, they've been looking in the wrong places for life… and that may be true but based on the information they've gathered so far, they can't find anything. Another issue is that we haven't been able to get a microscope up there that is capable of seeing bacteria. Something that may happen in the near future with new Rovers and new technologies is to be selective and bring back specific samples from Mars to study here on Earth.

As far as why we are different from other animals on this planet… its a simple answer of adaptation. If intelligent life ever existed on Mars and intelligent life existed on Earth.. it's impractical to say that we were the exact same. It just doesnt happen. Organisms develop differently. They adapt and mutate based on what is necessary for a species to survive. I'll think of a really ridiculous example to try and get a point across… say some species of giant man eating birds existed. These giant man eating birds feed on only the tallest of humans because they are most easily accessible to pick off from the sky. Being short means being safe. So over time the human species would adapt to be shorter… a natural defense against the man eating birds. Similarly the man eating birds would then adapt over time to effectively be able to eat the short humans as well. It snowballs until either 1 species goes extinct, or both species manage to live together in a predator/prey situation that is in natural equilibrium. Another thing to mention is… well.. look at how different humans are amongst eachother. I'm sure you look different from your aunt who looks different from your friends and they all look different from one another.

Ok now pyramids. I've recently done a lot of studying on Mars/the solar system/etc.. while I don't claim to know everything, I think I have a fairly solid foundation of knowledge on the topic. I'm only human and I do make errors when writing stuff like this off the top of my head, but I have sources I can refer to after the fact for verification. Not once did I come across anything that says we found pyramids on the surface of Mars. I have learned about what's called the “face of mars” … from a distance it looks exactly like a fossilized human face… upon further investigation and detailing with a better camera and lighting… we now know it's nothing more than volcanic rock. Can you give me a name for the pyramids you say are on Mars? Or something to go by so I can read up on it? Please don't give me a wikipedia link either. I'm just curious because I've never heard of that.

Hypnosis is definitely my closest friend from these forums. I also can't remember if we met on here or on GTA4… its been quite a long time! That being said I'm very lucky to have met him! His above post makes me sound like an awesome gamer (thanks!) but the truth is I am humbled in comparison to him. He's just really amazing at gaming and a really great person! Always up for a challenge, always willing to help people (THANK YOU!), always kind, always patient  – yes, he's put up with me when I've been sleep deprived, frustrated with games/people on Socom/people in general/trophies/the AWP trophy… basically when I've not been a happy camper lol – he's always up for a good discussion and a heck of a lot of fun to game with! What more could you ask for in a friend?

Bottom line is, if you aren't friends with this guy… you suck.

Just kidding… sort of.

But really, he's awesome!

As of late I have had more people from here add me and you are all awesome as well. I hope to game with everyone again soon!
