MemberI must've started this thread when I started Dead Space 1, I guess, because I hated DS1. I lost interest because to me, it was just a bunch of fetch quests and the game could've been a bit scarier. I never finished it but the people who did really encourage I return to it so I might at some point. I'd like to add that Red Dead had one of the most impactful endings I've ever witnessed, MK9 has the greatest story in a fighting game ever, and Deus Ex is a brilliant story and world to get immersed in. And as you can tell by my signature, I enjoyed LA Noire

MemberI don't know who this gr8srfan is and since our wonderful admin hasn't removed this clutter from the thread yet, I guess I'll just address him here. For the record, my dad (since this is what I think he is going for) never speaks me to that way or looks like that monkey in the picture. So gr8srfan, why don't you come out of your basement instead of joining a site just to act like a jackass? Anyways, I reported you, so you can tell some other “elite fans” (my name is just a bunch of letters) on the interwebs to go make you a sammich.

MemberAwesome!
I put up a comment saying “RE5 anyone?” last night and surprisingly enough I already have a full boosting team now! I still mean what I said, if anyone still has not done Versus yet, let me know and I'll help you out. People that have shown interest:edge4eva32

I didn't expect people to actually reply. It's so old, I thought most people had done it already.

MemberWell it took a good 3 years of absolute miniscule progress but I finally found a dedicated coop partner (who didn't catch the YLOD halfway through) to earn #72: Resident Evil 5. Big thanks to Seibei for the Pro difficulty and S runs. I don't plan to stop at 72% and if any of you from the site did not do Versus yet, PLEASE hit me up on PSN so we can boost this mother trucker.

MemberI finally joined up with Jenkem and friends. I wouldn't say the game is the worst but it's far from passable. It's not worth your time, but it's definitely worth the PS+ price tag!

MemberWell Alex, unless you were here to use the forums as they were intended instead of trying to sell us things, I think I speak for most people here: Fcuk off 🙂

MemberI've earned seven 100%s this week. In an effort to clear space to join up with Jenkem in R&C, I have been completing a lot of the quicker games I've ignored for a while for the space they're taking up. So far, I got rid of Silent Hill: Downpour, (4 GB, 69th platinum) all five Sam and Max Season 2 episodes, (2 GB) as well as getting rid of a few games that I probably won't visit for a while. Right now I'm playing the god awful American McGee's Alice. So much is wrong with that game. The controller locks up, walking Alice off a cliff, lag, freezing, and the platforming just results in her jumping on the edge just for her to fall off due to some retarted reason I can't fathom. I've only just now become less frustrated with it, by saving in every 2 rooms. Words cannot describe how devoid of fun playing Alice was but the story DOES NOT suck. Lastly, I got my first Vita platinum, Uncharted: Golden Abyss. It's weird that you can only see it as a plat number on my profile, you can't compare or view it on the PS3. MK Vita's next!!

MemberStupidly enough, I could download it but not install it. And since I was so sick of deleting and reinstalling certain games in my backlog, I just decided to power through the quick ones, then delete them. I'm hoping to have the necessary space by the weekend. You should join up with Jenkem and scotty, Seibei. They're still playing it and when I can join, it'll make 4.

MemberI… I did it. I beat NYMHC. I stayed up all night to do it, I was brought to the brink of insanity with all the bugs and freezing, and I feel like a could throw up with all the anxiety and nervousness in the last 7 minutes… But by god, I did it. It took me 3 hours and 15 minutes. I'm also the 39th person in the world to do it. I'm just so amazed that I was able to get that insane bitch of a trophy. Thanks, scotty, for the support whilst I did this. That's really it. I'm going to sleep, hallafcukinglujah.

MemberI don't know what to really hope for. I just want PS4 to not be there. There are really only five games I'd like to see announced (on my mind at the moment): Bully 2, Half Life 3, Portal 3, Mortal Kombat 10, and Jak 4. All that were mentioned I've been waiting FOREVER to play, and while it seems unlikely, E3's probably the best place to unveil it, right? We also need more games for the Vita, I only really wanted 4 games for it so far and they're already based off existing franchises. EDIT: I knew there was something that slipped my mind! Mafia 3! Please, please, please!!!!

MemberDude, I had bought the N7 edition, and Javik wasn't included! Basically all it was was some artwork, a steelbook, some good in game guns and an N7 hoodie for Shepard. I don't mind DLC generally. These days campaign length is pretty nill so I'll gladly shell out a small fraction of what I bought it for for more content. What pisses me off is obviously the way Bioware did ME3 (I put TWENTY more dollars down for useless shit, the least you could give me is the full game) theway Capcom do it, taking content off the disc, to sell it later for DLC, and then again in their” Super Hyper Mega Ultimate editions”. It's instances like that that make me glad I stick to MK. And I think the worst of anyone is without a doubt Activision. They charge $15 for MAPS, some from past games, when they could offer them for free or much cheaper. It's like “What? You still want more of my money? These maps are from COD 4!! Why would I pay twice? And these new maps suck anyways!” I do think some people have done it really well. LA Noire offered the Rockstar Pass, which made all the DLC worth the price. Rock Band released (or releases, not sure if they still do) new songs every week for low prices, assuring that you'd play the game for a long time with that service. Battlefield 3, while still selling maps, I think do it really well. You get more guns, trophies, assignments, and thoroughly replayable maps, that DONT suck like COD. I like DLC, but only if the devlopers goal with it is making more content, not pinching more from my wallet.

Member@scotty Oh, rest assured when I get this game's platinum, I'm gonna kick it's ASS. It'll join the ranks of Start the Party and Madagascar Kartz as the only games I've ever destroyed. While taking my time breaking the disc, I'm gonna put that awesome Health song that was played at the end of the game on, to let the rage flow beautifully. Anyway, last night I beat the MK Vita Challenge Tower, and all the contained rage I had torwards NYMHC was let out on Challenge 300. I flawlessed (took no damage) against Goro, Kintaro, Mileena, and Shao Kahn, and as the last hit, I set Kahn on fire! Now I have enough koins to unlock the WHOLE Krypt, so I'm gonna do that and then head online. If 1773's on, it's Resistance 2 time. If not, I'm going to try NYMHC again. gr8jrfan never gives up! 😉

MemberI've had two attempts at NYMHC and I'll tell you what: They were flawless. I've memorized every painkiller and enemy spawn. By the time, I get to part 16/17, I have a whopping 15 minutes to work with; I could basically lazily stroll through the finale. Both attempts were solid gold, I thought it'd be nigh impossible to do a flawless speedrun of the game. But both times I realised I was correct, but for the wrong reason. One could simply tackle the mode with practice and keeping a cool head. The reason this is impossible is because both times I got screwed over by something completely out of my hands. Attempt 1: The game froze at Chapter 13, part 16/17, I was in complete shock and utter disbelief. Attempt 2: The game crashed. It just booted me out to the XMB, like “fcuk you, noone can beat this mode so easily. Try again, BITCH.” Unbelievable. It just shows how little this mode was untested. While looking through some forums after attempt 1, I noticed that people had ALSO run into technical issues during their NYMHC runs, which makes me just furious. I should've took my own advice and waited for a patch. I will NEVER buy a Rockstar game day one ever again. It's not like it's the first time they've had boatloads of glitches and a just insulting trophy list. What a waste of time.

MemberI've got a lot to play recently, and over half with you fine gentlemen and ladies from this site 🙂 I've been playing Dead Nation with scotty. We're both pretty average at it. He's been carrying me through the checkpoints for a change, a definite improvement from the last time we've played a game together. Our time over target always makes me laugh my ass off, though, sometimes full hours over! Maybe starting on Grim was a bad idea…. Every now and then I also play a game of PAYDAY with him and khaoschick and we kick ass at it, had some stupid trophy problems though. Eventually, I'll get around to Resistance 2 with 1773, I'm going to help him with the empty coop and then boost the Killing Machine grind. Alone, I've been playing the SHIT out of Max Payne 3. I'm on Chapter 7 NYM, and I've already done Hard, Hardcore, Old School, and a little MP. I'm gonna start New York Hardcore this week. My confidence has boosted since I last made a post about it but every time I highlight the mode in the main menu, it's similar to the feeling of looking over a skyscraper before you're about to jump.
