MemberIf you got into Silent Hill 1 then when the HD collection is released I strongly suggest you pick that up. SH2 is just unbelievably good and 3 is well worth a play.
I'm not sure what scary games are around for the PS3. Dead Space 1 and 2 are the obvious choices. If you don't mind going back a few years you could try Forbidden Siren (PS2) or the re-make Siren: Blood Curse. If you want a challenge then the original is better.
Alone in the Dark is another option. You'll never be more terrified of the prospect of a sequel!

I've been playing the most amazing game ever ……………….. Silent Hill 1 :/ It is actually pretty crap nowadays, very slow, super “blocky” graphics, and u have to back track way too much of the time.
I just play it for the nostalgia. It's my favourite series.

MemberThis thread has been dead for a while so I thought I'd give it a kick in the arse.
I've picked up a few recently:
Alone in the Dark.
Difficulty 1/10. Enjoyment -1000/10
A well documented pile of shite. Nearly the entire list is a joke to get, the exception being the 'Handyman Carnby' trophy for combining all the items. It's a pain in the ass.
Brink.
Difficulty 5/10
If you play co-op and aim for the top rank you'll earn nearly every trophy along the way. Very straight forward.
Tekken 6.
Difficulty 8/10
Most of T6 is very doable with the exception of two trophies. 'Machine Crusher' is for beating Nancy MI478J, and she's a complete bitch. Combos are worthless against her so high damage attacks coupled with preternatural dodging will see you through here. The second trophy that will cause problems is 'What a nightmare'. The Nightmare Train stage is by far the most difficult in the Scenario Campaign and will require a truckload of high level items and baby-sitting Alisa. If she goes down, you're fcuked! Sticking with her and punching through her to tag-team attacking enemies works best.
Ratchet and Clank A Crack in Time.
Difficulty 4/10
A walk in the park all round. The only obstacle being the Challenge playthrough which is boring as Hell. Slightly more upgraded weapons is not enough to hold interest.

MemberAlso still grinding Modnation. Up to about 320,000XP now.

MemberBeen chewing into Motorstorm Apocalypse for the last few days. I hadn't played it in a while and they've added in weekly and downloadable events which are actually quite good.
And myself and a few friends have been having a laugh in private matches. You still earn XP so I'm up to rank 33 (the trophy for rank 40 being the last I need for the plat.)

I can't understand why ye wasted your time on Friedel. He might have been free but he's on the way out career-wise and it was the perfect time to invest in a decent keeper. I honestly think Shay Given would have been the better option. One of the best keepers in Europe rotting on the bench at City, it's a joke.
@Knoxie
I can see Liverpool having a much harder time next season than they think. They had a good run with Kenny but it started to come apart at the end and there's no way they're going to get similar results to some of their wins last season. They played well but the opposition made them look good (United collapse etc.). Maxi-pad had a bit of a flourish but he's still a mediocre player.
And Fulham (another team that rolled over and allowed themselves to be fcuked by Liverpool) are all over the place. At times they looked like they were striving for fifth or sixth on the table and other weeks like they were just happy to be in the League at all. Turn up, concede, go home.

MemberThe price tag is a bit of a balls. But every year they seem to creep higher. It'll be interesting to see how much this year's Prestige edition is going to be. That usually tops everything else.
I773D33MABL3
MemberI've had the Collector's edition on order since it was available. The original game for the PC was awesome (if a little clumsy at times) so I can't wait to try it out on a console. The story sounds like it's going to be class.

Enjoying Castevania a fair bit now actually… I've stopped at the sixth level, going back over the first few levels… trying to finishing some of the trials, could be playing it for some time
Give me a shout if you need a hand with any of the trials. Some of them can be a bit tricky to figure out.
I773D33MABL3
MemberThere are ten definite buys for me on that list (I never rent games) and I think there's one or two others I'm looking at as well. Space Marine being one off the top of my head.

MemberJust back from 'The Tree of Life'.
An absolute pile of shite. Easily the worst movie I have watched in the last few years. The critics will love it and wax lyrical about it but, in terms of enjoyment, it's just horrific. I won't even try to explain the plot as that would suggest I understood it. For those of you that are tempted to sample misery…
You will: a) Fall asleep. b)Walk out. c)Watch it and hate yourself.
AVOID!!!!!!

To have any hope of getting the scores you need in the combat rooms you need to alternate moves constantly. The more moves you throw into a combo the better you'll do. Some of the rooms also require a pretty much continuous combo. One hit/reset and it's ruined.
And is it just the ribbons you're looking for in KZ2 or are you trying for the online trophies in general?
I773D33MABL3
MemberIn the unlikely event that this isn't a complete piss-take, if anyone can land their hands on some I will pay for it!
I773D33MABL3
MemberLooks and sounds weak. Another in a string of crappy PSN titles trying to get somewhere by tying themselves to a major IP.
I773D33MABL3
MemberSo I decided to take some time off from playing games that I actually enjoy and try to finish Alone in the Dark. A solid testament to just how bad a game can be.
Did not one of the developers turn around and say “Hey lads, I've just noticed that our physics engine makes this game unplayable. Maybe we should address that?” Did the quality control team not realise that when driving on a perfectly flat surface you're car isn't supposed to crash, flip up into the air and kill your character? I can only assume that this stuff was ignored because they were too busy struggling with what must be the worst control system in gaming history. Hours into the game and I still can't meleé for shit!
Anyways, I managed to get through the story to it's sleep inducing “climax” and now I just have to trudge about the place to kill 100 Humanz, staunch five bleeding wounds and make every combination of items in the game. All of which will be completely devoid of fun.
