my opinion is that its best to have a hard copy of anything.. bacause u actually own it and can do with it what u like.. also when buying games and dlc off of the psn store your letting sony control when you use that content. because it is their content.. example: i have GT5 Prologue from the store, and if my buddy logs in and plays it, it makes me wait 24hrs before i can play the content on my account again. thats a stupid rule i think. but anyways i love the psn store and all of the dlc that they offer to everybody. its just some rules that r put on games regarding gamesharing are completely unnecessary. thats all i have to say about that.
You actually don't own the hard copy. As far as I know you only own a license to a single copy of that game. You buy access to the content rather than the disk. That's how they can include 'DLC' on the disk but make you pay extra later to unlock it.
It's the same with PC games that come with a limited number of installs. You pay for x amount of installs and once you use them up the disc is useless but as you never technically owned the disc there's nothing you can do about it.
I feel your pain on the internet capping mate. I'm supposed to have an 'unlimited' service but I get threatening letters whenever myself and Gnilsia take the piss and download a few hundred gigs of stuff. Internet providers are years behind though. They're still using the same caps as they used when they first set up shop, despite the fact that download packets have increased massively.
As a total off-topic aside I thought it would be funny to point out that the spell-check for Gnilsia lists genitals as an option!!

MemberI decided to revive this thread because I'm still playing the game and looking for solid people to party up with.
I do most of my gaming on Tuesdays and Wednesdays when I'm off work but I'm also available most evenings.
Anyone still playing this game is quite a high rank so the learning curve is going to be steep for any newcomers. Not that anyone should be put off by that, I don't mind setting up private matches and playing with people while they find their feet.
A mic would be a help but not a necessity.
Anyone interested just post your PSN ID here and I'll send you a friend request.

Ratchet, you're so thick it must be a disease.
Both myself and Gnilsia have different PSN IDs and are friends with people on this site.
so what? that doesn't mean you can't make 2 different psn ids..
And earn several hundred trophies on each one? People here have teamed up with both of us in BC2 and listened to us talk to each other on our mics.

Glory box – Portishead
That's a band I looked into not so long ago on a recommendation from a friend. They have a pretty eclectic style of music. I loved some of the songs (especially the live stuff) but then other tracks just wrecked my head. They seem like a band that have gone through a few phases.

While I think Doc-B covered one of the biggest reasons modern cartoons are user-friendly mush or anime look-alikes, you also have to take into account the power of trends and band-wagons.
Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh were such commercial successes that it was inevitable that other cartoon studios were going to try and copy their style and spread the wealth. Production companies have to work to whatever the publishers want. And like our own world of games they, more often than not, just want the safe bet.
Movies have gone the same way. After the Pixar revolution, traditionally animated films disappeared in the west. CG took over.

MemberLads, what kind of conversations do you have where you get to quote this stuff?! If I was talking to one of my mates and he came out with some of the stuff I've read here I'd give him a slap

Not that I'm taking away from this thread. I mightn't quote anything but I eat, drink and sleep music and I think lyrics are the most important part of any song.

Organizing your trophy list according to Grade I find is alot better, its basically reversed but I prefer to see the Gold at the top.
I'm a fan of that feature myself. I have mine ordered in the date I received them so any trophies I still need are all placed together. It wasn't exactly an effort finding them before but it's nice to have a defined grouping for what I do and don't need.
@Doc and Dkx
Agreement on the music player. I can't understand why they gave us a third set of visuals in an update two years ago and then didn't bother their arses to improve it after that. How hard is it to throw together what amounts to a fancy screensaver?!

MemberIt's used in 'Lock, Stock' alright but it was in some commercial in the 90s before that.
That's hilarious Ratchet, what chapter in 'The Little Book of Trolling' taught you how to come up with such biting wit?

In your time on this site you've accumulated quite a few negative replies (as have most people at some stage) and I think when you compare them, the ones in this thread actually fall into the fairly tepid end.
I don't think either you or your precious Runescape got much of a negative response. Definitely nothing in the region of what that anecdote truly deserved.
You can try and ask me if i care. I don't know if this is ANOTHER stab at me, but some have to realise that this is a forum. So what would being positive on the site improve? The place has gone down hill a long time ago, and with an admin thats almost never here it could be alot worse then just a few Runescape posts. I enjoy posting these things because I get a kick out of it, whether its Mojo trying to start something or just reading the general replies. Try it its fun.
If you really want to see something serious I posted, check out the Heavy Rain Trophy Guide.
I am honestly baffled as to how that qualifies as a response to what I said.
I was implying that if you wanted to pull out the drama/atrocious humour then you could have done so in a thread where you were actually getting some grief. The “negative replies” look a bit light-hearted to me.
So I'm trying to understand why you felt a general critique of the site was needed. One that has been repeated/whined about several times before.

A game doesn't need to be on another planet or involve alien weaponry to feel different.
BC1 played completely differently to MW1. They were both modern war-based shooters but they still managed to be distinct.
BC had huge, sprawling maps that invited a range of options for playing the game even when limited to only two game modes. The lower damage done by guns meant shoot-outs weren't always won by the person that started shooting first. You had time to react and fight back.
BC2 has definitely made some improvements but it's also become a lot more stream-lined and confined.

MemberAgreed. MGS4 took the series as far as it could go in both gameplay and storyline. I'd like to see him try his hand at an RPG. He could have all the time he wanted for his lengthy cut-scenes and still have buckets of gameplay.
