Gnilsia has had a few deadlines with work recently and he's spending his spare time with his fiancé so he's been neglecting his PS3. The guys priorities are all screwed up and I've been meaning to sit him down and have a talk about it.

It's not the physical lay-out of the maps that's the same but rather the style in which they're played. BC2 games now feel a lot closer to the MW style of play than BC1. The maps are a lot more compact and tactically linear. Plus the much smaller amount of damage you can take before dying adds a frantic edge that moves closer to the COD style even further.
I'm not saying the MW2 is bad but when I bought Bad Company 2 it was in the hope that they had just improved on the first rather than moved a little closer to being a COD clone. I bought two games to play two different games.
And to be honest I actually preferred the SP in MW2 to that of BC2. Neither are even slightly believable but at least MW2 felt like a proper sequel. BC2 didn't even mention the first game and
*****SPOILERS*****
I'd love to know how the guys managed to drive off with millions of dollars worth in gold yet somehow end up back in the army once again on Sarge's last mission before retirement…
Even the chemistry between the characters was all wrong. It felt like a new group of writers had just read the back of the BC1 box and gone from there. I'm pretty sure the first game didn't have the copious amounts of swearing that the second one had!

Run To The Hills – Iron Maiden
I'm not a Maiden fan but I saw them live when they played in Dublin and that track was easily the highlight of the night. Bruce Dickinson has to be the most powerful front-man going.
'The Brighter the Light, the Darker the Shadow' from the Bloodthorn album 'Onwards into Battle'.

Shut up.
That's nice W4R. We've had quite a few posts of that quality from you lately. I don't know if you're trying to troll, your account has been hacked by a toddler or if you've had a lobotomy.
Anyhow, to both Czesionyo and Cory: Hail to old faces. This place had gone bloody quiet!

So you do't care so much you went to the bother of replying and tried to insult him…. Fair enough.
Maybe if Ratchet didn't think much of Mojo's post then he could have kept his mouth shut instead of throwing a one word reply into one the middle of one of the most fleshed out discussions we've had here in quite a while.
Agree or disagree with Mojo (or Bigwoop) but there's no denying the thought and effort put into their posts, and the complete absence of either in Ratchet's. Ninja and W4R also had a go at showing how redundant they both can be.
I don't know about you, but when I click on 'Gaming related discussion', that's generally what I like to read.
And as for Mojo's 'come back' not being as good as you expected, if you you just want to incite come-backs maybe you could PM him instead of wasting thread space.

im say that most people that play mw2 aren't true gamers..
What the Hell is a true gamer? Better yet, Does anyone care if they're a true gamer or not?
And how do you know anything about the MW2 community at large? It was one of the biggest selling games ever, I think every guy on my friend's list has it and they're a pretty varied bunch.

MemberI barely bothered with the online in MW2 so I can't comment on the novelty wearing off but claiming that people are only playing it because it's a recent release is fairly ridiculous.
There has been a stack of massive releases to distract people since MW2 came out. I can't keep up with all of the games I've bought recently. Several of the guys on my friends list are still on MW2 despite also picking up quite a few newer games. When you consider the lack of trophies for the online mode I can only assume they're still playing the game because they (like Knoxie) think it's quality and feel it has longevity.
And I don't think there is any merit in quoting what scores various games got. If working with the public has taught me anything it's that most people are unforgivably thick. I couldn't imagine letting some stranger's review affect my attitude to a game. I might listen to a friend or someone I know possesses a shred of intelligence but never some number on a web-page.
And don't get me started on that “true gamer” comment. That actually made me wince.

That works out at 68.5 years.
Are you sure the hottest girl in school didn't just want to help you cross the road?

MemberNo, it's not hard to understand what your saying. The problem arises with why you're saying it. How is somebody supposed to respond to your view if they don't even know what it is?
How uninteresting would it have been if Bigwoop had just quoted Mojo and said 'no'?

No what?
Well there's a few options there Mojo.
No point.
No thought.
No relevence.
No input.
I think all of these describe Ratchet's post nicely.
I prefer Parnakas' sentiment; this is one of the better discussions we've had lately.
I, myself, prefer Battlefield. While MW2 does have more game modes I think the slight game changes they impose don't come close to the variety that the inclusion of vehicles brings.
The pacing of the game is much better, the action is constant but there's still room for tactics to breathe. (Albeit nothing close to the first Battlefield).
My main issues with BF2 are the changes that brought it closer to the COD style of play. Preferences aside I think the games should always be as distinct as possible.

MemberI just watched the first Darkman movie on Sky. Definitely not Liam Neeson's finest moment. It was made in 1990 and I'd say even then the (very) special FX looked dated.
There was absolutely no redeeming factor in the film yet for some reason I felt compelled to record parts 2 and 3…

just saw kick ass again
i love this film so much
best film released so far this year

I watched that myself last night.
It wasn't nearly as funny as I thought it would be but the unbelievably slick action sequences more than made up for it. I felt like cheering every cool death. It was like Rambo all over again…
The little girl is probably the only child actor not to make me wince every time they're on screen.
