I just saw the ears and thought it was Ratchet's head. I assumed the silhouette beside him was Clank. 

That looks fairly quality alright. 

I'll pick up the first one for the PC before I touch it though. I hate coming into a game mid-story.

Wow did anyone watch Barcelona vs Arsenal tonight?

Lionel Messi has actually left me speechless. He was absolutely scintillating and Xavi didnt even lose the ball once.

I think that will now also knock Arsenals confidence and they will lose out in the title race.

Messi is something else all right and his third goal was perfection, but the other three were gifted to him. Three re-bounds that ended up at his feet in the box? He got seriously lucky.

Arsenal were far worse in the first leg and he didn't get anything there.

A random playlist on Youtube made up of various tracks by Anaal Nathrakh. Saw them live recently and was fairly blown away. 

To say it's angry music doesn't quite do it justice. I have never actually met these guys but I kind of want to write to them apologizing for whatever I've done…

Dizzel's right about trying to regulate that sort of thing. Developers would have to submit their games to Sony or some third-party group to play through the game and decide how hard everything was. There's no way it could work. 

But that's no excuse for having arse-ways trophies within the same game. Red Faction gave me a gold for playing online with someone that had beaten the single-player but demands I win 250 games to get a bronze?!?!

Spirited Away and Howl's… are both quality. They're definitely anime but they've reached a far larger western audience than most of the traditional stuff.

i was disappointed with Tales… though. Compared to the other stuff he's done it was a bit ordinary. Still a good watch but just not fantastical enough

And for anyone thinking of taking BigWoop's recommendation and picking up Ghost in the Shell, make sure you go for the original and not the 2.0 remake. They re-did some of the scenes and characters with digital animation and it really, really, doesn't work. 

The second Ghost in the Shell movie; Innocence, is the complete opposite. The story tries to be so deep that you feel they're just name-dropping philosophers. All the attempts at pseudo-intellectual arguments just take away from the movie. 

Not that you want to be following the story too closely because it's pretty shite. GITS: Innocence is a film you buy just for the visuals. They are absolutely unbelievable. Most of it is done digitally and with this one they got it seriously right. Any reviewer that gives the animation less than 10/10 is a lying scumbag. Buy this movie on blu-ray and watch it in Japanese so the crappy dialog won't distract you from the eye-candy.
