Memberokay, so the first part of the boost was a success (more or less). Four out of the five of us have Fire Controller and it's just emdeepee that needs it. if we can all fire up the days that would suit next week then we can organise another night and kick this thing in the ass.

MemberI've been able to sign in, it's just my store not working. Although last night Kristoff couldn't get online with MoH. It kept freezing on the “verifying online pass” screen. I was able to play fine though.
It must be a widespread problem because all day I was wondering why so few of my mates were online. I've had a max of five or six when it's usually 20 or so.

MemberI don't think you missed the point man, I haven't played the game myself but that was one of the main complaints I came across in reviews. Compared to previous Hitman games, there are very few sandbox areas where you're given no direction but have multiple ways of taking out the target.

MemberOkay, so myself and Kris have been chipping away at this but is everyone okay for a proper boost on Saturday?
The six involved:
I773D33MAB13
I773PR3SS1BL3 (Kriggs)
gr8jrfan
Scotty243
VaeVictas
emdeepee
Scotty and Nathan are the only two not in GMT and are 5/6 hours behind so what time would suit everyone? I was thinking 5:00 GMT?
If the time is bad or if anyone can't make it then post here or message me. If we can get all six then the idea is to try and get an empty server. Sector Control will work best as then we can just trade flags for points and everyone can earn simultaniously. We'll also have to designate a firing range for our supportive actions as we don't want to be hammering each other with munitions and messing up point streaks.

MemberI can be on Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday. But if it's on Saturday then it needs to be an early start as I have work at seven on Sundays. I should also be around Sunday night. I could also throw in an hour or two later tonight?

MemberI'm not too ready to write the Vita's obituary just yet. I know it hasn't had an exactly stellar year but if you think of the PS3 at it's first birthday things were looking pretty grim. The AAA titles had almost completely failed to materialise and the flagship shooter (Resistance) was a miserable affair. At one stage it was looking like we'd never have anything to compare to Halo or Gears. I think Motorstorm was the only year one title that properly impressed me.
The Vita has followed a similar story. There's been a little more hype around some of the AAA titles but it's really only the shooters that have failed completely. People seem happy with the versions of Mortal Kombat, LBP Karting and Uncharted. assassin's Creed Liberation wasn't a breakthrough but it wasn't a disaster either. For me the biggest issue is (once again) the slow trickle of games we're getting. The launch was nice and solid but then we went almost half a year before anything worth buying turned up. And with such paucity of games available, when one does particularly badly (Blops:De), it really stands out.
I personaly think the Vita is never going to grab success by attempting to mirror the PS3. Dumbed down versions of full PS3 games are always going to be second best and the reviews will always focus on the bits that are missing but available in other versions of the game. If we hadn't come across Uncharted before Golden Abyss then it would have blown our minds. It's an amazing game on a handheld. But compared to it's bigger brothers it just disapoints. Vita needs it's own identity and with features like double touch pads, two cameras and motion control, the devs really need to get a bit creative.

MemberDon't worry em, we started tonight as a bit of a dry run and it went to shit. It seems empty servers are easy enough to come by early in the night so if we can land one of those and there's six of us then we're laughing. But we spent most of the night waiting around and then just joined some regular matches to start the grind. Apparently we're all shit…

MemberAttempted the SP in Black Ops 2 today. I got through the first level before falling asleep. Easily the most boring bit of FPS gameplay I've ever gone through (and that's including Jericho!). I don't know if it's just a shite level or Ive finally reached my tolerance for the CoD formula.
It's a pity that they push zombies forward and expand it in every way yet they let the SP stagnate.
Apart from that crap I'm still chipping away at Ecolibrium. This thing is pretty addictive! I got Alpha creatures today!

MemberIt hadn't really been discussed but I think if we just start out playing as a squad and rack up the trophies for playing two hours in every game mode and as each class first then that'll give us a chance to practice a bit and unlock a few things. The one or two tricky trophies will be more managable if we all have a clearer idea of maps and loadouts.
I773D33MABL3
MemberThanks for the tip Doc, I actually got the trophy doing pretty much just that. Only two co-op levels left for the plat. I'm doing them with my brother so we're both getting exactly the level we need with no re-runs. It's a fairly well developed co-op but I'm finding it the buggiest part of the game. Nothing game-breaking but causing a few irritating restarts.

MemberThe problem wit the router is going to mess me up a little but Kris can still play from home. I'm going to see if I can borrow a copy of another friend (he lives in the middle of nowhere and can't play onlne with his shitty net) and get my brother to sit in at his house.
Gnilsia has a copy as well but he doesn't get online much.
I773D33MABL3
MemberAs long as Kristoff isn't too poor to buy the game we should be good to go on this. I was planning on getting it anyway but I hadn't realised there was co-op.
I773D33MABL3
MemberIf all we need is six then we should be good to go. I still need to check how many copies can run off one router though. I think Kristoff is around tomorrow so we'll try then.
And I think between the six of us we're only spread across two timezones?
