I was going to buy the BUZZ RoboJam game from the European store along with Dark Mist but I couldn't because when I went to enter my credit card, my Europe account would only allow credit cards from the UK (because that's where I entered my address as). How does everyone else here buy games from other stores?
May 20, 2009 at 4:05 pm #26297P0kennyMemberI don’t think it matters about the ‘card holders’ address. That can be changed to what ever the address is.
May 20, 2009 at 4:15 pm #26298tridonMemberNo, it allows me to change the address but the country stays. You cannot change the country, just street address. And if it's not an actual address that jives with the address registered to your credit card, you have absolutely zero luck. This is why I wish Sony would start selling their stupid Network prepaid cards in Canada!
May 20, 2009 at 4:26 pm #26300pobert06Memberother than my country's credit card which is part of EU Store,I also purchase from the USA Store using a $50 Playstation Network Card and also $20 Playstation Network Card. The Japanese Store and Hong Kong Store also accept playstation network cards which comes in the country's currency which is Yen and Hong Kong Dollar respectively.
Other than that i heard that some credit cards work on the UK Store but i'm not sure what they are.I wanted to buy some stuff in the UK store too because some of the games don't get released in my Playstation Store
May 20, 2009 at 4:56 pm #26309PS3 TrophiesKeymasterWhen creating a PSN account you'll have to put in the country and an adress from the country of the PSN Store you wish to buy from.
Visa cards accepts other adresses while Mastercard requires the same adress as on the card.

Does that include Visa Debit cards? I don't have a credit card anymore, I managed to pay it off and get rid.

Visa is the card that I was using and I still couldn't make a purchase. I could enter everything from my address except “Canada”. It would only accept “United Kingdom” since that's where I said I was from while signing up for the account.
May 22, 2009 at 6:06 pm #26463PS3 TrophiesKeymasterYeah and you shouldn't do that. Simple fix 🙂

Shouldn't do what? Say I'm from the UK while signing up for a UK account? Will it let me sign up to a European account if I say I'm from Canada?
May 22, 2009 at 7:44 pm #26466PS3 TrophiesKeymasterSorry read that too fast… If you're buying from the UK store then enter UK as country when creating an account. If it doesn't work with your visa card it must have some special restrictions or something?

I don't know what the problem is. If I do buy a PSN card though, that's guaranteed to work on any store, right? I guess I'll just eventually do that because I really want that Dark Mist game.
May 22, 2009 at 9:23 pm #26479PS3 TrophiesKeymasterUnfortunately when you buy a PSN card it's locked to the region where you bought it.
May 22, 2009 at 10:03 pm #26484tridonMemberHmm… this whole situation is very poopy. Games should be released on all regions' stores. Very stupid.
May 23, 2009 at 2:01 pm #26528P0kennyMemberwhy…. Don’t you buy a game card online… from the regien you want to buy things from… That would probably work. I’m sure you’ll find some poor sap selling them, on Ebay.
