iv had my controller since i got my ps3 and for sum reasonthe stuff that covers the analog stick is coming off and as i have dropped it a couple of times if i shake it it makes a rattaling sound. just wondering wat problems people have had with there controllers. now i can get a rumble 1 now lol
When you move the analog stick, it touches the other part of the Controller and doe to this, some plastic rubs itself off the stick, producing a sand-like substance. This is no reason to worry, it's perfectly normal and one of my PS2 controllers actually has like 1mm of plastic missing on the left stick.
My controller makes a slight rattling sound as well and it also works perfectly fine. So as long as your controller still works, there is no need to buy a new one.
yer my analogstick covered in white stuff wat is it? and wen i move my rite 1 it makes this annoying squeqing noise wen i move it
The sound I can't explain but the white stuff is just dust. You can compare it to sawdust that comes from the stick and the controller rubbing against each other every time you move in a game. Do that for a few hours and the “sawdust” appears.
well… err… in most cases like this it links to abuse to the controller imo.
I've never had any problems like those or any others in fact with mine or my brothers controllers – and we have seven of them :S
Two consols so 7 seems OK. Its also the max PS3 supports though i don’t know a game that supports it.
yeah we don't have 7 each :S
3 / 4
still dont c y u would need 3 or 4 each
how about multiplayer games?
cod4, resistance, pixeljunk etc.
ow yer lol i forgot as i always play games by myself lol
I still have my sixaxis i got with my 40 gig.i have not had my system for long.i tryed the dualshock 3 controller… i don't like it at all,i find that rumble can be annoying and make the controller heavy.anyone feel the same way?
The weight makes it better in my mind, sixaxis felt a bit cheap compared to the DS3.
At first I missed the rumble function I know from both PSX and PS2 but not anymore. Seem to prefer the Sixaxis now…
im hoping to get a DS3 wen my sixaxis brakes how many games hav the rumble function in them now?
