I'm sure they paid quite a bit for it, and I'm sure what they'll get in return is more hate towards them

It's not like someone is going to buy an 360 for a 30 day time exclusive map pack.
Defnitely a good point. Also, it said there that theres only 2 maps in the pack. What the hell kind of map pack is that?! Lame, is what it is. I will not pay $10 for 2 maps. Man, I won't even pay that for 4. I did for CoD4, and one of the maps wasn't even cycled online! Its a rip, when they have the whole game engine built, all the character animations, textures, guns, upgrades, etc already there, making new maps is not expensive. I crave the day when we actually get 10 decent maps in a pack for $10.

Memberhmm… I'm really not sure where you come off with Dante's Inferno demo being better? First off, GOW3 graphics look as good, if not better, than Dante's. Plus, the GOW3 demo isn't actually a section of the game, it was just slapped together to show some new enemies and features, for the record. Many of Dante's moves are very similar to Krato's, with the one real difference being his magic, and the holy cross move. Frankly, the both look great, and I don't think you can go wrong with either, but as someone who play the first two GOW, I need the third to get a fricking ending to this story line, and therefore I automatically go for that.
As for the rest: The only other games I'm going to get this year are Bioshock 2, because hell, if you played the first and don't expect the same company to bring more innovation to the table, you are seriously underestimating 2k games. Bio 1 was full of it, so is borderlands, I expect more new fresh ideas. Besides this, ALL OTHER GAMES I BUY will be PS3 exclusives. I find that the ones I get which seem lack luster in certain areas, short of graphics or gameplay or levels or just short in general, are multiplatform. Therefore, Heavy Rain is my next in line. Also, it just looks awesome.

MemberAn arc refers generally to one of two things: a curved shape or line, or in electricity a luminous bridge formed in a gap between two electrodes… which both seem appropriate here. With the first, its the shape you would form while swinging the controller around. With the second, you can take several meaning out of it, but to me, its luminous (the light ball part), and it bridges the gap between player and game world, by giving us more control and immersing the player in the game. Or I mean, maybe there's an electrical arc internally (I sorta doubt that, sounds like a fire hazard waiting to happen). Seems much better than “gem”.

Member@knoxie – just because your friends list is full of people playing mw2, doesn't mean ours is. the only people on mine that are, are from this website, and one of my coworkers, who won't stop trying to get me to play when I repeatedly tell him I'm playing borderlands instead. You play it a lot, of course you are going to have friends who play it too. duh.

Memberso – sorry I haven't played yet, I've been distracted by other things. I was working through the GoW collection, and then Mad Moxxi came out for Borderlands. Then I got YLOD, and lost all my save data. So now its level grinding in Borderlands so I can try out Mad Moxxi with a decent character eventually,,, but hit me up over the weekend and I'll probably hop in for a round or two to get a break. Also, I have confirmed that we can infact boost for the 50 wins, although thats quite a grind. I think we should go for the unit related achievements while doing that grind, cause theres quite a few of them.

Memberhey new guy. welcome. Don't be fooled, there are retards here and there from time to time… but they're everywhere you go. There ARE significantly less, and I think most of the real retards left a few months ago. If you're down for some gaming, hit me up, PSN ID same as here. Currently I'm working on regaining all the ground I lost when I got YLOD last weekend, so its grinding on Borderlands, and some multiplayer here and there when I need a break.

I forgot about Assassin's Creed 2 having a bit of a crap ending. Although I did get a bit bored of the story about half way through so this might explain it.
Yes cliffhangers can be annoying but deep deep down inside you know you love them guys!!! What could they have done instead of GOW2 ending. I think thats the rule for second games of the series or even films for that matter. Give a huge ass cliffhanger even though you didn't know the first one was going to be so popular so you made two more that tie together so “fantastically”. Somewhere in that rant is a contradiction I think! lol
No…. I don't. Its complete bullshit. See, I liked Uncharted 2's ending a lot. It wrapped up the loose ends, you get the girl, you take out the asshole, its all good. If they want to make a 3rd, its wide open to do that, but they could leave it as is and its a complete story. The cliffhanger ending is a total gimmick to get you to buy the next one, and its lame. Super lame. GOW2 could have ended a number of different ways, but since it was originally planned as a trilogy, I'll allow it. It still pissed me off. MW2 however, was a shitty gimmicky hidden cliffhanger, they never even acknowledge the fact that you haven't accomplished your goal. If you have to plan a cliffhanger in order to make sales on the next sequel, its because you know that the story mode was crap in the first place, and you need a gimmick to make sales on the next one.

i did the fking upper case lower case thing ageeees before everyone started doing it and i regret it now. my old psn used to be knox1e but loads of americans used to call me knoxle so i changed it to NuFc_kNoXiE_KiLa – support newcastle united football club and im a killer i tell ya.

I'm pretty sure that change didn't do much for us americans. Knoxie is pretty meaningless to all of us, since no one here pays attention to soccer, and no one here calls it football. actually, I still don't know what the hell knoxie means.

Memberyea, sometimes he gets them up early, and sometimes he misses them,,, I think its just the one guy managing this site in his spare time, which can be a bit of work to keep up on. Sometimes I find it easier to find someone who has the game, and check by comparing trophies with them. Also, for the record, I thought that demo sucked. Maybe its just me, but for a side scrolling shooter, it had nothing special, fun, cool, or… anything… interesting, so it seems like a waste of money to me. You're much better off with Trine or PixelJunk Shooter.

MemberIn the future, a hard reset usually fixes any of these problems. All you do is turn the power on by pressing the button on the ps3 and holding it for about 5 seconds, until it beeps twice. This resets all audio and video setting to the default, and then auto detects what the optimal settings are for the current connection. Much easier than disconnecting all the wires, etc…

I thought the MW2 ending was awful story wise but that throwing knife into his eye was pretty cool.
Oh yeah SPOILER ALERT ABOVE if you haven't completed MW2.
The final mission on the Deal end of GTA IV was epic.
I'm pretty sure I put a large spoiler alert there…

Memberpeople should already know this is going to be SPOILER ridden, but just incase…
:::::::::::::::::SPOILER WARNING::::::::::::::::::::::
GoW2 – I hate endings that leave me hanging. If you want to leave it open for a sequel, fine. Don't leave me at the climax of the game with no pay off tho. Don't have me climbing mount olympus on a titan's back shouting how you will bring it down and kill zues, and then not be able to fight zues for ***NO PROFANE LANGUAGE PLEASE*** sake! I realize they were setting up for the next one, but what a kick in the balls!
Prince of Persia – Yea, you guys don't understand, cause like most nerds, the idea of romance escapes us. He released Arhiman because he loved her too much to let her go. I know, its retarded, but for a cartoon she was pretty fine. Arhiman “lives” (he never died, was just imprisoned) and is freed. I was annoyed with this one because you needed to buy DLC to find out the rest, but the rest wasn't much anyways, it was just you guys running away and him chasing you with the bosses you fought already.
MW2 – one huge plot hole – WHY THE ***NO PROFANE LANGUAGE PLEASE*** WASN'T THERE 3 MORE HOURS OF GAMEPLAY WHERE WE GO TAKE DOWN MAKAROV, WHICH WAS THE WHOLE GODDAMN POINT OF THE WHOLE FRIGGIN GAME?!?!?!?! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, lets just forget about MAKAROV, he wasn't important at all!!
Edit: Assassin's Creed – same complaint as GoW2 – wrap up the loose ends dammit! Its like some girl licking the tip and walking away, no no no, finish what you start!
I'm sure theres more, but thats what I got for the moment.

Member@Antony – mythology is just that – myth. A collection of stories and fables that change over time as they are told and told again. There is no truth behind them, and therefore no definitive way to tell it, which is why its so useful for a video game or movies. They tell an epic story that can be tweaked or change to suit the needs of whoever is creating the media they wish you to see. It didn't ruin anything, it just told things in a different but epic manner.
@people about the SPOILER! – its not a spoiler, it seems that this demo portion is not actually intended to be part of the game, but just something put together to show off Krato's new moves, new weapons, and some cool new enemies. It was talked about in an interview I read awhile ago. It was just a real cool way to end the demo. You will not necessarily fight that titan, or any of them in the game… but then again… knowing how these things twist and turn, maybe you will.

Memberyup… free sex was the coolest thing I could think of. I'm surprised actually, I thought this would be a more popular topic. By the way, 3D tvs have existed since 2007, but with hardly any media to support them, they are hard to find, and pointless to buy. It seems sony has realized they have the technology to remedy that. Also, interesting note, 3D movies have existed since 1915. Crazy, right?
