Memberthat is wierd. the only thing I know about that is related to trophy cards. Trophy cards don't update until you log in on the sony website, and view your sony trophy card. Its kinda goofy, but thats probably why they don't show up there right away for you. The rest… I dunno… is your account UK or US?

Yeah its great but sucks that we need to get a new TV
.
Well yeah, but 3D supported TVs already exist, although theres very few models. If you have an HDTV already, a salesman may have convinced your parents to shell out the extra money for one that supports the 3D despite a lack of 3D broadcasting currently without them realizing thats why they paid extra money. I know they tried it on me, and now I'm starting to wish I had. Its still gonna be a full year I'm sure… go get a paper route ratchet and start saving dude, it adds up quicker than you'd think!
PS. Here's a quick site I googled listing TVs that currently support this feature… I guess all we really need is a firmware update and we're good to go!

Memberman theres a buttload of weapons emblems and glitches. Lets fix the glitches and the servers, and maybe I'll be interested in new maps. On top of that, lets not wait 6 months to get 4 maps for $10, cmon, I've worked with a few map editors, its not that hard. Give me a real map pack, like 10 for $10 at least.

lol, slims would be a waste of money if it does

If it does what?
release soon.
I don't really see a point on speculating on this too much. First off, we definitely have another 6 years to go before this comes to reality, unless Sony has been lying for the past 15 years about their life cycle plans, which I doubt. Also, the article talks about how they've shredded through 2 design plans already… so I wouldn't be surprised if this changes again a few times in the next 6 years. If anything this is simply evidence that Sony is here to stay,,, unless they screw up royal.

MemberI'm in. I got this for christmas. I thought it was great, but primarily because it made me laugh a lot at all the musical references they did, and all the little different comments Jack Black makes as you play (I'm not even a fan of him, but he redeemed himself for me in this). The gameplay wasn't really top notch, but if you take a close look at the unit types and control schemes, there is a real chance for strategy here. I haven't tried the online yet, just beat the campaign. It definitely would be nice to know what online matches count, cause 50 wins could be time consuming… Hit me up though, PSN ID same as here.

MemberGod of War 3 (I've had this reserved for a couple months now already)
Bioshock 2 (original is my favorite shooter ever for all its unique qualities)
after that its kinda a toss up between Heavy Rain, Dead Space 2, Dante's Inferno, Bayonetta, Final Fantasy XIII, Dark Void, and a couple others…. I'd put Heavy Rain on the top of those, but I can't be sure until I play it to see if its actually fun, or just cool looking.

MemberAnother way to get “seeing red” – this is easy, but time consuming, and kinda boring. I like this method because its in the very beginning of the game, so you can play the entire game with huge upgrades, making progress in the harder modes much, much easier. Too bad theres no trophies for completing harder modes. Anyways:
Do not upgrade anything until you do this. If you upgrade something, it should be one level of Poseiden's Rage, to increase range. The third level is too powerful and will kill the enemies too quickly. After completing the first level you will be in the city of Athens. Progress until the room where you acquire the freeze gaze. Instead of freezing and killing the minotaurs, switch to poseiden's rage. Your magic bar constantly regenerates in this room. All you need to do is activate Poseiden's Rage near enemies to build your combo meter, roll twice, and fire it again, roll twice, fire again, etc, until the combo bar is at 1000 (you can roll up to 3 times before the combo will end, rolling helps give time for magic to regenerate). This should earn you ~7 or 8 full experience bars, since each increment of combo earns extra exp. If you earn enough exp to fully upgrade your blades before leaving this room, the game will be a total breeze, and you should have no problem upgrading the rest of your stuff. Its a time consuming pain in the butt, whos only advantage is that its in the beginning instead of the end. Just throwing it out there for more choices. Don't do this for Jason's run, clearly.

MemberChuck Palahniuk books! Primarily, Lullaby, Inivisible Monsters, Fight Club, Choke, Haunted, oh hell, read all of them! Warning: extremely strange mature and often times disgusting content contained within. Especially Haunted, the first part actually made me want to puke several times, it was rather disturbing. Anyway, barring that, other hobbies are good too. Learn to juggle, skateboard, fruit boot (rollerblades!), or how to not impregnate girls while performing the reproductive action. At the very worst, get a job. Money is always useful.

Memberso… thats his handle on this site? I've never seen him post. Anyway, I would be down, but don't own that game…. however… if you have soul calibur 4, then i'll woop noob tramp pusssy ass all over the place. er uh, wait what? I meant, lets have a friendly competition
Seriously though, I play my best friend from home in SC4, and its generally full of shit talking on eachother. I'm apparently cheap because I keep getting ring outs on him, but then I tell him he just sucks at blocking and staying away from the edge. It goes back and forth just like the punches, but in the end, no matter what is said, the winner is still the winner, end of story. This is the only time I really talk shit in games though, since I've known him since I was 5, I feel the instinctive need to make fun of him. I'm seeing that borderlands is in your sig, so let it be noted that I'm always down for some co op in that, hardly anyone plays with me and I think its way more fun with more people.BigWoopMagazine
Member@buddyson – wow, what an old topic here. ::::sigh:::: I've explained this before, but, you're new here, so I'll explain it again. Trophies all have arbitrary point value assigned to them (bronze 10, silver 30, gold 60, plat 120, or something really similar to that). Developers have a limited number of points per game, based on the type of game. Sooo… here, by the points system I listed, which again, is not necessarily correct but works as an example, they've used 210 points, giving us 21 trophies to earn. If they were all silver, there would be 7 trophies, or they could give us 3 gold, and 1 silver. So, no matter how they do this, it will contribute the same amount to your trophy level. Would you rather less challenges, or more challenges? Me, I'll take more, since I do these for personal satisfaction of beating the challenge, and more challenges get me more life out of my games. Is it still gay to you? I hope not, cause it makes a shitload of sense to me.

Member@barkie – way to be the voice of reason. seriously, kudos.
@the rest of ya – you might find this interesting. This website rarely steers me wrong, and if they do, they always post an immediate follow up stating that its wrong, and why. This basically reiterates the options listed above, but in an easier to read chart, plus nice descriptions of each feature:
Also, let it be noted, that all this information is a survey. So, this means that an independent company presented these options to people in order to gather information on what they think of the services, and how much they'd be willing to pay for those things. So… in no way are these the official options or prices. However, what is official, and has been since the first time sony talked about implementing a charge service, is that all of it is completely optional, and all charges will be for services in addition to what already exists. Meaning, if you don't want to pay, nothing changes. I realize this was said above, but its a really important point that needs to be stressed.
That said, I really don't think I'd pay for any of these things. A lot of them are somewhat interesting, but not really worth money to me. However, I appreciate that this will generate revenue that can be reinvested in improving the already existing service, along with providing this premium service. That really is the idea here. I think the smartest move they're making here is including the cross-chat in the premium service. Its not a service that I care to have, but a lot of people do, and that alone is going to generate a lot of money for them.
The exclusive betas and customer loyalty rewards is something I was already getting from Qore… which I pay $25 a year for. So I guess this is where my only issue comes in… am I still going to get these things from Qore? Should I switch to the premium service, given that its approximately the same price, if these hypothetical pricing plans are implemented? When I originally got Qore, I knew free stuff was coming, and then just had faith that more would come too (and was pleasently surprised by all three betas, U2, MAG, and Modnation). I still want this stuff, but since they rarely announce its arrival more than a few weeks ahead of time, its going to be really hard to tell which I'm better off with.
BigWoopMagazine
Membersoo…. anyway…. I couldn't share my MAG or my uncharted 2 betas when they were closed. So I haven't tried with Modnation. And it is really deceptive the way the MAG beta is setup, with the short download, and then an enormous one that can't be run in the background. For the life of me I can't understand why they did that… but really, I would just turn it on and leave it run all night while I sleep. Frankly, I didn't find it that entertaining when it was closed, so I'm not bothering with this round.

Member@coll – i really wish I could look at mine on the sony website, I dont understand why its being such a piece of shit. I guess I'll just take your word for it right now. I could swear I have a ton that were “earned” simultaneously despite it being impossible, in either Burnout or Uncharted (maybe both). It makes me wonder if one of the firmware updates corrected for this, since they are old games and I earned those a while ago?
Edit: nevermind, I musta been smokin somethin, cause I got the page to load and couldn't find any trophies that had the exact same times on them. sooooo uhhhh yeah, looks like you are definitely correct sir, sorry I ever doubted you.
BigWoopMagazine
Member@Antony – oh it is, but let it be noted that just because it releases thursday, doesn't mean you can play it thursday. The MAG open beta will be playable January 4th. They seem to have realized that its an enormous download, so are allowing it to be downloaded early.
