the easiest way to get the code is to buy the gow collection. 2 games for 40 bucks and a code included! i have the demo but haven't got to play it yet
True. However, you can pre-order, get your code, and cancel the pre-order. Zero expense for the demo. I pre-ordered simply because I know I will get this when it releases anyway. Plus, I still own the original 2, no reason to buy them again.

MemberI think tons of people will go watch it, but not necessarily enjoy it. Its sort of like Max Payne. I went and watched it, despite the fact that Mark Walberg sucks (which he totally did once again in this movie). Why did I go? Because Max Payne 1 and 2 both had great story lines, and I was praying that they did it justice in the movies. They did not. I expected that, but was actually floored at just how flat the acting was, it was that bad.
Call of Duty doesn't even have a great story line in the first place. Its ok, enough to motivate you to shoot the enemies in the game, but we all know thats not where the glory of this game lies. In fact, the characters you play as are dimensionless and flat, with literally zero personality in the game. You're just some guy in this situation. They did that on purpose since the focus is on multiplayer in these games. A CoD movie is just going to be another war story with that name tacked on. Every fan will go see it because of the name, and most likely be dissapointed in the end. However, someone will make a lot of money along the way, and thats really the only reason this conversation is happening in the first place.
@Parnakas – I'm ashamed to say it, but you're right. The only reason I bought WaW was because at the time, I just wanted more CoD. What a sad mistake I made. In no way did I want another WW2 game, I just wanted more levels, and ended up being dissapointed in every possible way. Oh well, live and learn.

what is an orchestral score ? this isn't as appealing as some of the other special editions like uncharted 2, assassins creed 2, mw2, and god of war 3.
That would be music played by an orchestra… where an orchestra is a group of performers playing various instruments, usually composed of a large string section, horn section, and percussion section, and then some more.
Its appealing if you own a working phonograph still (record player). I do, but needles are near impossible to buy for it anymore, so I don't use it often. I never buy special editions anymore, but I think this is a cool idea, considering the time frame that this game is in, all the music you hear in the game would have been played on records.

Yeah, here's the system:
When you have 300 trophies, you're impressing the people with 100 or less.
When you have 1000, you're impressing people with 500 or less
When you have 2000+, you're impressing those with 1000 or less
Take a moment to note that NO WHERE in those listings is the word “Girls” (or any synonym) mentioned.
Trust me, if you have zero trophies, you're probably doing a lot better than all of us combined.

…….or you're a 360 fanboy, and you walked into this forum lookin for trouble

Ain't that the truth. This is EXACTLY why I don't want my trophy info posted on my facebook account, because girls do constantly pay attention to that BS!
Edit: @Ghost – thats probably an indication you should sell your games and buy new ones. If you hate playing them again, why keep em?

this occasionally happens to me but the latest patch seems to have solved it for me
if not just do what i do if is doesn't work i log out then log back in and it usually starts working
Any ideas on the problem Cory has though ? Like not popping up at all ?
Not a clue. My trophies are still popping, but I can't sync. I've got firmware 3.10, but I just realized I haven't played MW2 since I got AC2, so maybe I'll throw it in tonight and see if theres another patch, maybe that'll do it. As of last night though I still couldn't sync and tried a few times while I was trying to look at the new 3.10 features.

MemberFor anyone who doesn't know yet: Get the GOW3 Demo code by pre-ordering the game from any normal game store (GameStop, Amazon… etc). Also, at Amazon.com you can get $4 of the retail price, its just on sale… anyway, found this thread and was really surprised no one mentioned that yet.

MemberWell, here's what happened to me the day it stopped working:
I bought MW2
Upon loading it told me I needed a firmware update to 3.01. I installed this.
I played MW2.
Trophies stopped syncing, and it hasn't worked since.
Hmmmm…. so, its either the firmware 3.01, MW2, or the combination. Funny thing is, that same day about 18 other people on my FL list said the same thing happened. So I'm inclined to think that MW2 has something to do with it, but isn't necessarily the only game that will.
BigWoopMagazine
Memberit seems like anyone who has been playing MW2 has had this issue, and currently there is no way to fix it. yeah, it sucks, cause I have the same problem where I've earned a bunch on MW2 and AC2. I was hoping the firmware update would do it, but that doesn't seem to effect it. Hopefully IW will release another patch for MW2 (5 patches in 2 weeks? goddamn!) to help us out with this.

Memberso… now I'm going to have a rainbow colored friends list? yaaaaayyy….
I am really happy that the browser has apparently improved… I have yet to try it, but I have had many problems in the past with pages not displaying correctly, buttons that can't be clicked, links that don't work, and videos freezing the PS3. This often times leads to me getting out the laptop to do something I should have been able to do on the PS3 in the first place… so an actual real YAY! if this is all fixed.

MemberI think a lot of those complaints were because people were expecting more out of multiplayer that just enormous maps and matches. I complained too, and unfortunately, many of us complainers forget to praise them for the things they did right, such as the campaign that I loved. Ahhh…. we're such jerks.

Member::::sigh:::: just reminds me of how I lost all my NES games in college. A tip to the rest of you: never loan anything important to anyone in college and expect it to be returned. Most people will be in too much of a blurry drunken daze 90% of the time to realize that said object(s) is not actually theirs.

MemberAh, I have some catching up to do. I often times get side tracked by new games coming out (AC2, MW2), and later have to go back to finish. Nice to know that those things give lotsa experience tho, they go down easy with some head shots. Thanks for the tip!

I want a game that im actually going to like .
You didn't enjoy the campaign? Thats the only part I really liked, and I thought it was really awesome, a lot of fun, with some really cool boss enemies. Really if they just gimme more of that, I'll be happy.
EDIT:
@Dizzel22 – I think they'd have to change the name of the game if they did that… umm… since you'd no longer be on the resisting side.

BigWoop – Dude i noticed the exact same thing , the facial animations on Ezio sometimes look really bad , like his face would just be the same for 10 seconds and his eyes have no detail to them . Yes , the voice actors ACCENT sounds ridiculously bad , and actually getting a legit italian voice actor most likely wouldve been cheaper on Ubisofts side . After watching one of MACHINIMAS gaming weeklys they revealed this one part where you have to press buttons to have a baby come out of a womans womb ? Not to mention the part that made me laugh the most ; where Ezios mom says something along the lines of ” instead of Vaginas ” . Sorry if that wasnt necessary , but thats coming straight from the game , and i just find that not called for .
Well that birthing part, you only push buttons after the baby has been born, to control the baby's limbs. Its kinds wierd but its a cool idea. I actually liked that Ezio's mom spoke the way she did, they do a good job of explaining (if you read all the database entries) what rennasiance Italy was like, and with prostitution being a socially acceptable practice, I wasn't surprised to hear a character being straight forward about Ezio going out to get some vagina. He clearly didn't want to hear this out of his mother (neither would I), but she was right. This was a time where a woman's greatest asset was her vag (it still is if she does it right, heh), and they even explain how there were schools where women were “educated” on how to have sex.
On another note, played some more last night, and holy crap, there is a butt load to do in this game. Expect it to keep you occupied for a loooooooooooooooong time if you want to complete everything. I acquired the “disarm” skill, and thats pretty cool, it gives you a good opportunity to experiment with other weapons. You can pick up your enemy's dropped weapons before that, but its very difficult to do (the control scheme just kinda acts goofy, since the same button is to grab your opponent). Its definitely cool to steal an enemy's axe, and then butcher them with it.
I suppose my only small complaint is that I end up holding the R1 button for 90% of the game, and eventually have to switch which finger I use to do that. I often times find myself wishing that it was reversed, i.e. holding the button would put you in low profile mode, and otherwise you're just always in high profile mode, since I'm usually sprinting, jumping, blocking, or whatever else requires me to hold it down.
@Knightmare – if you buy or rent the game, the lineage video is in the bonus options of the main menu.

MemberA co op mode that isnt just a bunch of super powered versions of the enemies. It gets really boring when the whole thing is just you standing behind a shield unloading thousands of bullets in the same spot to whittle down an enemy's health. This would make it playable with 2 people or 8 people, instead of only being possible with a buttload of allies. It would be really nice to have a 2 player campaign, so that co op isn't just some arbitrary set of run here run there objectives. Thats what I expected in R2 (and so many other games, :::cough::: uncharted 2 :::cough:::) and was really dissapointed in not seeing.
Some sort of organization system (ala MAG with squads and leaders) for competitive multiplayer, so they can keep the large matches, but people will actually work together as a team. Thats really the only bad part about what R2 has,,, its good, but such chaos that it quickly gets frustrating/boring. Bringing back split screen multiplayer would be nice too, with the cool weapons a small 4 player free for all was fun every once in a while in R1. Not a necessary thing, but it'd be nice to see. Local multiplayer is getting rarer and rarer these days, and I miss seeing it, since I do have real friends, despite being a huge nerd.
