Searching for Orange Weapons ? Those arent those Platinum Guns are they ? I heard theres like a 10 % chance of even finding one in your whole career of playing the game . Ouch .
Orange color indicates rarity, and yes, they are the most rare, but I'm not sure if thats what you mean by platinum weapons. I've found two and I'm lvl 43 siren. Basically to increase your chances you need to play with high level characters in the hardest areas of the game, a lot. People on the Borderlands forums have indicated that New Haven treasure chests are a great place to loot, and I have found that they do spit out a lot of good guns. However, farming these is boring… bleh. So I would just play the quests, you constantly find gun chests that way anyway.
@W4R and Dizzel – just keep doing quests! they level you the fastest, by the time you finish playthru #2 you'll be lvl 50 easy. Playthrough #3 is where it apparently gets interesting, my friend told me all the enemies are lvl 51 (PS: a great place for treasure looting)

MemberPlayed a lot last night when I got this… agreed with Parnakas, it does start off slow, since you start off with before Ezio is actually an Assassin. Its good this way though, as they do a good job of setting up the story of how he becomes one, and where he learns his skills. Once you do learn some skills it gets pretty fun, and theres tons to do. Theres lots of different secret things to find, and some really unique puzzles that even had me a bit stumped at certain points, which I think is great. I'm sick of seeing the same simplistic puzzles that treat me like a toddler, its really refreshing to get a challenge there. My only real dissapointment is that in certain preview movies before the release, they showed graphics that were so good it rivaled Uncharted 2, with incredibly realistic character animations… and in game I have yet to see a single cutscene that even comes close to this, and I feel really mislead by that. Its not that the graphics are bad in any way, but the facial animations leave a lot to be desired after the preview movies I had seen. Its almost as if I previewed a game designed for PS3, but later they just released a ported xbox game instead… oh well, its still fun.
@Ratchet – Yea dude, thats how italians pronounce Mario. I have an italian uncle named Mario, and everyone always butchers the pronounciation here,,, I'm not sure he really cares though. The voice actors here sound like italian americans trying to emphasize their italian accent though, they definitely arent fresh off the boat. What gets me is how there is no explanation for why the characters in the game constantly switch back and forth between italian and english… is the Animus translating some of it, and if so, why just some and not all? It doesn't really make sense… but whatever.

Emdeepee – Couldnt agree with you more . Im more mature enough to watch No Russian without going out later , buying myself a LMG , and tearing up my airport . Yet i still find 10 year olds playing this game , not very good on the parenting side if you ask me .
Good God I wish some parents would stop their damn 10 yr olds from playing this. I am so sick of hopping in a game and hearing some whiny little kid going “I'm a claymore player! Did you see that! I got him with my claymore! OMG! what an idiot! he just ran right into it! omg! Im dead! OMG! hey you guys! hey you guys! hey guys pay attention to me! Im getting shot! omg! Im dead! omg! hey you guys! I got radar! hey you guys! lookit ur radar! omg!” And at the end of that game, the kid has a 1:27 k/d ratio. Thanks numb nuts.
BigWoopMagazine
MemberI think you guys missed my point entirely. Reread what I posted earlier. If you still don't get it… well nuts to you. I'm not bothering to reiterate or describe it any further, cause its pretty damn obvious.
@Atomic-G – you're saying you do this to get closer to Makarov. To find out what his plans are, so you can stop a war. You know what stops those plans, and that war? A bullet in his head, not following him like a moron while he carries out the plan you want to stop.

MemberTwo things:
1) Is anything that Scott stated in this guide incorrect? Not as far as I can tell. Sure, it may not be entirely comprehensive, but that doesn't mean its wrong.
2) At what point is it a trophy guide, and not a full on game guide? You want a walkthrough for veteran mode? Go find it. Thats a game guide. But seriously, where do you draw the line on that? Most games have trophies that involve completing almost everything there is to do in said game, and so a full write up is easily a full on game guide. If you need someone to hold your hand through the obvious stuff, you need more than what a trophy guide is going to tell you. Otherwise, it makes sense to be straight forward about the straight forward trophies.

Memberadding on to my previous comment:
I understand the context of the mission, and how it sets up for the rest of the story line. The fact is that it doesn't make sense from the very beginning. What they should have done is given a good reason for keeping Makarov alive, and following him. What would have done this? Move the snow level thats before this mission, and shift it so that you play it after the airport terminal instead of before. If they still needed to get that ACS, they would have had perfectly legitimate reasons for leaving Makarov alive until they could recover the device, since that basically allowed the russians to hack past the american defense system. Then it would have been the weight of hundreds of thousands of lives vs a few hundred people.
BigWoopMagazine
MemberI hated this mission, and here's why. It makes no frickin' sense! Lets think about the story here for a second… you are playing as Allen, who was sent to be undercover in order to take down Makarov. The mission begins with Allen standing BEHIND Makarov and his associates, with an enormous machine gun in hand. What is preventing him from popping all four of them in the head before they kill a single civilian?! I mean sure, he probably would have taken a bullet or two himself in the process, but any marine would know that its worthwhile to save hundreds of civilian lives. But no, instead of doing anything to stop this massacre, you play along. Why? Whats the motivation? To get to Makarov?! you already got to Makarov! He's right frickin there! KILL HIM! It makes no sense, and thats why this mission should have never existed… not because of the stupid airport violence. BTW, if you haven't yet, try to kill him. They're invulnerable, they turn around and shoot you calling you traitor. ***NO PROFANE LANGUAGE PLEASE*** Lame.

Okay now I'm excited.

This is the first trailer I've seen that makes me think think this is an Uncharted 2 beater.
talk about spoliers though.. just showed pretty much every level in the game!!
oh well.. still looks good. And i like the 360 ad at the end… i guess IW loves the 360 over us PS3 gamers…
definitely agree, that was full of spoilers. Besides the shitty eminem playing, it almost seemed like a legitimate ad too, which is wierd because IW has been playing things pretty close to the chest, trying to avoid leaking spoilers. IW does love 360 more, for whatever reason I don't know, but anyone who had CoD4 when it first released knows this, because 360 got every update before us, along with the double XP weekends. They eventually made up for it, but it was pretty dick.

MemberI think you need to clarify what exactly your problem is. Are you unable to install the expanion? Unable to buy it? Unable to access it? And do you have the latest firmware? You aren't forced to update to 3.01, so if you haven't done it manually yet, try that.
BigWoopMagazine
MemberI was kinda wondering that too, for the same reasons. Too many guns, not enough space!

Memberhey, I've got the plat and can help. I'm pretty busy playing uncharted 2 and borderlands, so I might only do like a chapter or two at a time. Hit me up for pro mode, PSN ID same as here.

MemberI think this is a series that needs to just end after this iteration. Its hit 5 (actually more than 5) and has hit its peak, and is starting to go down hill. We all know 5 wasn't really better than 4, despite the improved graphics and co op mode. Yea it was cool, but its so long gone from what the series started as, and if they drag it out any longer it'll just be a shame. I mean, theres no horror, no zombies, virtually no puzzles, its totally linear now (remember when we used to have to explore and back track to figure out where to go next?) and really the story kinda felt real tacked on. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed this game, but they should end it before they ruin it.

Looks good , you can see some acrobats in the trailer .
@ BigWoop – i m pretty sure in the sands of time they dont have to go to some temple , its all based aroud the same castle or something , its been a really long time .
Exactly. They stayed in the castle they invaded, he had to take the dagger to the hour glass, which seems to have been turned into a temple in this one… its supposed to be based solely on the story of SoT, but you can see the chain thats wielded in Two Thrones at one point in the trailer… so… I dunno… just skeptical. They always change things for a movie,,, and its not necessarily bad, but my instincts say it will be.
@Ratchet – Dude – go play these games, in order. My favorite series, on par with GoW, despite GoW being slightly more badass. The PS2 Prince of Persia series is better than the PoP on PS3. Sands of Time has a great story, which is what makes this movie possible, Warrior Within (my favorite) is intense and extremely well done in every aspect, and Two Thrones does a decent job of wrapping up the story line. The Two Thrones is probably the worst of the three, but they're all really good.
