MemberI don't pay attention too much to any of these options. I only acquire plats to satisfy my own personal sense of accomplishment… which is why I take forever to get them, I enjoy the game first instead of going straight for trophies. Level I use as a quick reference to get an idea of how much a player plays… and # of trophies… I rarely think about. Usually I just compare specific games to see how far someone is in it… whether thats because I want help getting a co op trophy, or just to see if they'd make a good partner in some multiplayer battles. Even then, you can have a lot of trophies and still suck at games, or vice versa… so really, I just care about if you can shoot the other guys and not die.

Member@mitttttch – its not really case closed that easily. First off, most voice actors are just better at changing the intonation and pitch of their voices and prefer to use that skill, rather than be screen actors. It really give them the advantage of being able to play more characters when they aren't easily recognized. This doesn't mean they can't act, it just means they recognize what their preference is. Many screen actors have being doing the reverse, and going to voice acting at times (which many voice actors dislike) [see: Robin Williams, Jim Carrey, Mark Hamill, etc]. I say give the guy a shot, you haven't seen his acting, so how can anyone say he's unable? Hopefully casting of the movie will be based on an on screen performance, and they'll determine if hes good to go. I don't go watch movies based on who's in it, I go based on the plot… unfortunately, that leads to me going and watching Max Payne, where the plot was almost totally destroyed, and the two famous screen actors in it played some of the flattest roles I've ever seen. So, I'm probably totally wrong in this opinion.
That said, Hugh Jackman – good choice. I mean geez guys, ever heard of make up?
Matt M. – Terrible choice. Appearances aside, this is not his role. They'll bring him in to get a female audience, but not for any actual talent, and that'd be pretty lame.
Elena – Natalie Portman – the perfect cutie for this role, good actress.
Sully – tough choice… Gene Hackman, Jack Nicholson, Tommy Lee Jones?
Really, I don't want to see big name actors. I want to recognize the characters as the characters, not as some actor I've seen a million times over.

MemberIn a few weeks, but as far as I know they haven't made any official accouncement for that release. I'm just really hoping they include more abilities for the characters with this. This game is really cool, but I think having more unique abilities for each character would really help make you feel like your char is unique. Right now it seems like no matter how you develop them, it all comes down to what gun you're using. Good thing the guns are really badass.
@Hypnosis – apparently you were already on my friends list. It looks like you play while I'm at work though. We might have to team up over the weekend or something, if you're up for it.
Does anyone know how to view challenges that you've completed and have yet to complete?

my wallet got drilled by those goddamn NVG´s lol

then demon´s souls & also im gettin borderlands tomorrow i guess
Did you ever use those NVG's?
And yea, I have this problem all the time. My solution: work overtime. It justifies my expenditures. The problem now is that I have too many games, and not enough time. I need to clone myself!

This really annoys me… America get all the good TV before the UK. Damn copyrights lol
Makes me glad my forefathers decided they weren't paying any more taxes to the king! Rewarded in the long run, aaaaaawwwwwright!

MemberWell, I guess I might eat my own words saying they weren't really bringing anything new to the table. Although, TPS mode isn't something I see working well with CoD gameplay style… so I'm still skeptical.

Membermaybe.
No (1943).
IMO.
In 1943 theres three maps, three classes, and I believe three (maybe four?) vehicles. I'd get bored pretty quick. I'd save your money for BC2 if you like these games,,, or better yet, Uncharted 2, MW2, Borderlands, or MAG. Definitely more expensive, but definitely worth your while. Also, if you look around you should be able to find Bad Company for $15 or less used, which is a much larger game made by the same guys. I really don't like any shooter that puts an arrow over your head for enemies to see… it defeats the purpose of hiding, trying to be strategic, etc. Might as well make it a neon sign that says “SHOOT ME!”

MemberThe only thing I want to see coming from Valve to PS3 is Episode 3 for Half Life 2. They left it hanging at the end of each part, and really need to wrap things up. Unfortunately they have their heads so far up their asses smelling their own farts that they can't see the profits that would come their way if they developed for the PS3, so I fear I'll never get to play the conclusion. L4D was entirely overrated btw. It was good, but nothing that special or fantastic, and certainly didn't show the level of inginuity I would expect from the guys that brought us Half Life and Half Life 2. I mean really, oh, we got zombies, and its got co op play. OoooOOoOoooo woopty doo! How original and creative! All I want is an ending for the IP that put them on the map, and it'd be nice if they developed it for the PC or PS3, instead of porting from the xbox. Lets get out of the stoneage, and move forward with progressing technology. AAAAAAAAAArrrrrrrrrrrgggggggg………

Memberbought borderlands last night. Money well spent. Awesome game, I highly recommend picking it up now! It looks like its pretty big too, so DLC may not be necessary, but still a nice addition.

We might have two campaing one with the evil hale and the other with Capelli
And thats a good idea. Kind of like (god forbid I metion this on a PS3 site) Halo… 2? I think it was? maybe 3, anyway, where you played as the alien guy on certain missions, and got to use cloaking abilities. Hale was really overpowered at the end of R2 though, so they would have to do something to address that, or it really wouldn't be any fun.

The game will never be the same with out Hale
Agreed. However, Hale would make a really bad ass boss to face. Continuing as Capelli, and eventually having to fight Hale, would create some good emotional tension to add to the tragic story line. My worry is whether or not Hale would be the big bad boss in the 3rd game. If you think about it, there has to be some other creature running the show, and directing the Chimera to come to Earth and fight this war. I wonder if we'll encounter that creature in the 3rd game, if they'll save it for a possible 4th iteration (now that would be milking it), or if we'll just never hear about it at all. I'm hoping they manage to wrap up these loose ends in the next game, otherwise I worry it will become another IP dragged out too long to stay great.

theres no way im gonna let Ratchet just own me for no reason lol
Ok.. so Saturday – any time during the day or night – get on PS3, play Uncharted 2 – put in your comment “Uncharted 2 APT” and we can get a bunch of people together to just own each other lol.

What, you guys don't go to Holloween parties? Cause Saturday should be a day for dressing up all creepy like and going out to hit on sexy witches and stuff… woo!
