MemberSo, I'm going to pick this up after work today. I'm hoping to do a lot of on-line co op, as I've been looking for a good game with a long continuous co op section for a while now, and I'm also hoping some of my friend from home will pick this up too. If any of you guys want to play hit me up.

MemberUh, back to a statement earlier related to this guide:
You can use the cheats and tweaks on any difficulty mode. The requirement to do so is beating the corresponding difficulty mode first. The game tells you this when you try to select them.

Memberwell, I make no guarantees of doing that every friday, or even this friday. I have to work over time some weekends (probably this upcoming one) where I'll go to bed around 11 or midnight like I normally do, and otherwise I've got a few concerts I'm trying to go to soon on the weekends. So, its the same as always for me, if I'm on, hit me up, I'll probably play whatever, as usual.
@knoxie – hah, I'm sure you will. I'll try to learn from it, and I'll try not to make it too easy for ya.

MemberAs much as I loved all these games mentioned, I think it would be best for these companies to stick with their respective new IPs. Unfortunately when a company comes up with a great IP, it becomes habitual to make sequel after sequel after sequel until they've beaten it so far into the ground that people hate it more than anything (see Tony Hawk Pro Skater). Sometimes I think its best to end things while they're still great, so that it can remain great in memory (see The Simpsons). Thats why I'm actually glad when something planned as a trilogy remains so (see God of War, Prince of Persia PS2 trilogy). Going forward with Infamous 2, Uncharted 2 (maybe 3), and Resistance 2 (maybe 3), were all very smart choices. Hopefully they each figure out how to end these series on a good note, and move on to another great IP in the future.

Memberum, discuss the topics at hand? Thats generally a good start. Read the sticky posts at the tops of the different forum sections (rules for posting guides, etc.). I would basically root through all the different threads and reply to anything relevent… but make sure you read the entire thing before posting. Also, before starting new threads, do a search to make sure it doesn't already exist (like the 10 million GOTY threads, or the several “Whos got how many trophies?” threads).

Memberreally, the ads on the site? wow guys,,, I take it you aren't used to cable tv ads and newspaper ads, and billboards, and movie ads, and ads on our food, and ads on some dumb broad's ass cause she's wearin' abercrombie and bitch pants… ? How do you not realize that the reason these things are everywhere is because it generates revenue by selling the space the ad is in? This site is really really good about it, theres no pop ups, and the only ads I ever see are on the top banner. Some sites you get like 5 pop ups, an overlay, a redirecting ad, then something that talks to you, then so many of them implanted in the site that you can't even tell what the hell you're lookin' at. It does cost money to host a website, let alone the time and effort involved in it… so I'm sorry to hear admin is losing money, but don't be surprised if you see more ads so he can keep it running. And don't complain! This is how the internet, and almost every form of media works!

MemberI'm not sure that I agree 99% of the guides on here a great. I've read a few where it really does seem like the trophy list was recopied, and just a description was written of what the requirements are to earn it, but no real advice on how to go about doing this. Like for the collectibles trophies, people write “find all the collectibles”. Well, where the f****NO PROFANE LANGUAGE PLEASE*** are they?! And then I have to question the ones that say something similar and “heres a link to a collectibles guide”. First off, do you have permission to use that guide within your own? And secondly, does that still count as writing a guide? Its more of a guide on how to find a guide. Then the other end of the perspective is that for some games, for the trophy guide to include all these details, it might as well be a full strategy guide for the game. So its a bit of a gray area, but this is something I've noticed… and no offense intended to anyone who has gone through the effort of writing something up, its certainly more than I've done.

Totally off topic but online, what do the little blue numbers next to your name represent?
They indicate your online ranking, which is why you only see them in ranked games. Do well, number goes up. Do poorly, number goes down. Quit in the middle of a round, and the number goes way down.
@Insania – the golden deagle is just a reference to the original uncharted, where you could also earn Eddie's gun. Anyway, if you really wanna look at the idea of where the golden gun comes from, look no further than james bond.

Memberwow, I had no idea who that chick is… uhh.. tight body, yeah, I'd stick it to her, but I'm pretty sure I'd run away afterwards to get away from her big nose and plastic looking face.

MemberI think hes a little focused on the MW2 Jelly coming his way… and while I'm sure that'll be great, you're really missing out if you don't at least rent uncharted 2 and play the single player.

Memberditto on the water, but really Drake couldn't since it got lit on fire during the fight. So it makes sense why that didn't happen. And DAMMIT why wasn't Sully around more?! I don't care if he's old, he can handle it!

You guys do seem a little weird getting “excited” over pixels lol.
Arren't you too young to be watching that Ratchet???

HAH! That was my first thought, but it would explain Ratchet's excitement. I'm sure at 12 yrs old he hasn't had much experience with actual tits.
Any way, I didn't really expect this, but it isn't the first time we've seen boobs in a video game. God of War, for example, shows some large sets, even on the enemies (but they're gross). Its a good example of how video games aren't just for kids. They have adult themes, adult situations, and a serious story line. I haven't watched the video because I'm at work, but from the description it seems to show the desperation of the situation the character is in. Lets face it, strip or die, thats pretty damn serious. Thats cool, because I expect a serious and intense story line from this game. Now heres the real question… is it possible to maintain the character's integrity and avoid having to strip, and still live? Is it possible to take it further than the video demonstrates? How serious are they gonna go? What if she nails him, and then knocks him out? Or bites his junk off while gettin' down? And is this one point where you could choose to die? Refuse to strip, and get murdered.
Ahhh…. this reminds me of when the first Tomb Raider came out, and a bunch of nerds were like “lookit her ass! theres a code to get her naked!” which there wasn't, and her ass looked like a cardboard box with pants on. Same situation, improved graphics, and actual nudity… but basically the same.

MemberI'll probably be on all night. I didn't participate in the last one cause it was sunday night and unlike some of you kids, I gotta be fresh in the morning for work. Its raining here though, and I'm saving money to go to some concerts, so its Uncharted 2 most of the night for me. Restarted the story on Hard mode, but definitely down for some online. Hit me up!

That was a… SPOILER!
yea… I mean, all you have to do is look through the available costumes and it tells you outright, whether you've beaten the game or not that you can get it. Theres some other costumes too…
::::SPOILER!!!:::: of people who don't show up, like ganghis kahn. Cool costumes though. I saw them and thought it ruined the story for me, until I beat the game… whew! ::::SPOILER OVER::::

I hate the goddamn treasures , they dont even tell you which ones your missing unless you use a checklist , its stupid .
at least its not like tomb raider underworld where there 180 of the exact same treasures. With these you can at least look at the names compared to a list, and mark them off to figure out what you're missing. Some of them are pretty cool looking too… IMO.
Finding a lot I missed on the second play through… I'm noticing that any in the snow are really really hard to see, you sorta have to accidentally walk over them. Thats where I'm guessing I'll miss some.
@ Karlos – why are you posting on your comment how many you got when you're using a guide? Its not really an accomplishment to brag about dude…
