Memberits probably because they don't want people who are playing through just for trophies to screw their teammates over by quitting out as soon as the trophy is earned. A forced completion ensures the integrity of the match

Memberwell, mine are always quick too, I think my connection is only 5mbps, didnt feel like paying for 50mbps and its never seemed necessary. uhhhh upgrade your connect? also, if you're not trying to play online, hit circle when the update shows, it'll cancel and you can still play offline, it just signs you out of the network. I've done that a lot cause I'm too impatient for even a 5 or 10 minute wait, hah

Memberyup. this topic has been posted a ton of times, and it never works cause every one is in different time zones. heres what you do, Host a game and do challenges for a while. boot anyone who doesnt participate in the challenges. Once you have 8 players, start the wildcat stadium meet up challenge. BAM! easy trophy. end of topic.

MemberI think the class is a situational thing,,, the best class is based on what you're trying to do and what kind of class balance is going on with your team at the moment. I almost always start off with worker to try to get some resources for upgrades. Gettin' good at the warrior upgraded dash attack tho, and the ranger is nice for dodging and attacking non ranged enemies… I use the villager to snag the princess cause hes so fast. I guess I use the priest the least right now

Membergood game. only two complaints. I wish there was a lobby for games, especially for trying to play with friends. Also, I can't get used to holding down a trigger button to talk on my headset, it distracts me from what I'm really trying to do. Otherwise its pretty cool, gotta try to get a good team together and woop up. haaa…. woop.

Membernope, I got cake is not a lie last night. Fed Zeppelin you have to be the person carrying the princess when you launch her… your team probably has to win too. You should get the trophy at the end of the round. The trophies I got so far all pop up at the end of the round.

Memberyeah I thought Bioshock was great, I was really disappointed that they delayed the release for bioshock 2.
I kinda liked the discussion that was going on here about the actual topic before things went to crap with people insulting each other, and clearly terran is a big perpetrator in that, but it seems like even without him this is happening a lot lately on this forum. I'm growing weary of it, so… I might just be done with this place, and its too bad. Those of you who I have made friends with, hit me up on PSN any time, I'm always down for playing some games. Peace to the rest of ya.

MemberAhh, I can't forget my old games as I keep them in the same case as my newer ones… I gave most of my PS2 games away to a friend who can't afford PS3, but here's what I kept and do still play from time to time:
Metal Gear 1, VR, and 3
Prince of Persia Trilogy
God of War 1 and 2
SSX 3
Twisted Metal: Black
and on original playstation:
FFVII
Rayman
Oddworld: Abe's Exxodus
Warhawk
Wipeout and Wipeout XL

Member:::sigh::: this shouldn't really be necessary, but Tarran, do you have anything useful to say? The whole point of the forum is to discuss the topic at hand, not just spout obscenities and nonsensical jibberish at random people. Unfortunately I'm sure I'll see more of that coming from you, but dude, its just lame.
Oz-Metalhead – precisely. Thats exactly what I was trying to get at, I think you just may have said it better. Kudos dude.

MemberI use the Infamous Good theme (I think I got it in an issue of Qore), with my background as a slammin' hot picture of Elin Grindemyr (If you don't know who she is and you're a straight male, lookerup!)

Memberhah, that video is hilarious. What about an x-men lego game?

Membertrust me, it confuses me too why people would be that hardcore about it that they play hannah montana or other such childish stuff when they aren't children… etc. Bionic commando is another one though that I bought, and regret… I heard a couple bad things but was following it for so long and anticipated it for so long I had to get it, and am really dissapointed. Its just a really frustrating game… and oddly enough, I'm glad I got some good trophies out of them, some were really fun to try and get. Had there been a demo, I probably wouldn't have made that mistake, but I guess I should have just listened to my fellow gamers. With terminator I'm listening, I haven't heard one good comment there, except that its an easy plat, and you're right, thats not enough reason to get it.
Some of those PSN titles are really where the true hardcore trophy collectors should focus – despite there being no platinum, a lot of them are the hardest trophies out there. Can anyone say they got 100% on PAIN? Pixel Junk Monsters has some pretty tough ones, and apparently Wipeout HD is extremely hard (I have yet to buy that)… I don't think I have any for Savage Moon, that game gets surprisingly difficult really quickly.

Membergotta ask, whats LOLZORS? I know lol…
I always thought one of the greatest things about SC was the map making abilities, it gave so much freedom in that game… I remember creating an RPG style game where you played as one guy who leveled up from kills and gained different powers (changed char class) or just got more powerful according to your choices. So many great things arose from that, like the ever more popular tower defense games. I'm sure a lot of people don't realize that we have starcraft to thank for games like Pixel Junk Monsters, Savage Moon, and Bloons 1 and 2. Speaking of which, while not four player, Pixel Junk Monsters is a great co-op game to play, especially with ameteur gamers.

Memberdepends on what mode, I play a lot of HQ… so I have HQ and HQ stealth for modern warfare
HQ: P90 red dot sight w/ claymores, stopping power, and extended sprint (I know thats the wrong name, but thats what it does)
HQ stealth is the same, but with a silencer and UAV jammer on.
Otherwise I do the P90 with red dot, 3x frags, stopping power and martyrdom.
I always use smoke grenades.
Of course these are only once I've done all the weapon challenges and haven't hit 55 yet,,, once I prestige I do the weapon challenges, and my perks often change based on the weapon used (like steady aim is a must with the shotties).
I haven't played WaW enough to have a preference yet, but I'm sure it would be something similar.

Membernot every game has a demo tho dude. no demo for tomb raider underworld, and god I wish there had been. no demo for soldner x. theres plenty more, but I'm not gonna list them all… sometimes you just gotta gamefly (rent), borrow, or buy the game to see for yourself.
besides that, I think really trophy “whores” aren't whores… really they are what I would call hardcore trophy collectors. They are the people that want to collect trophies so much that they'll play any game regardless of quality or fun in order to have those achievements. The term hardcore doesn't warrant any respect, but that is what it is. They go above and beyond what a normal collector would do, often times out of bounds of what would make sense to the normal or average player. I really don't think theres anything wrong with this. I wouldn't do it, I don't have the time and it doesn't interest me, but if thats your perogative, then hey, do what you gotta do.
