After a soul sapping nine days straight in work I'm finally free for a few days. My much missed and sorely neglected PS3 will hopefully see a lot of me over the next while. 

I've still the 40,000 kills to grind through in Space Marine and the Resistance 2 co-op is nearing an end (Bar a bit of level grinding). Unfortunately that means the Resistance 2 competetive mode will have to soon be pillaged for 10,000 kills. 

Now…

Just back from the Dark Knight Rises and while it was an awesome movie I can't help but feel a little underwhelmed. Realistically it was never going to live up to the hype. The previous film was not only 10/10 but was further bolstered by the carreer defining performance of Heath Ledger and the poignant undercurrent of his death.

That's a tough act to follow. But still TDKR gives it a good go. The acting is top notch (Micheal Caine stealing every scene he was in) and the CG is as flawless as it gets. If I had to complain about anything it would be the pacing of the film. It feels a little rushed and over-edited in places. Hopefully that'll be fleshed out in a director's cut.

I just went for the first crappy series that came to mind. In hindsight, I probably should have picked something more dignified

I'm only hazarding a guess at what the Doc means but I'd say he's referring to the fact that it's become quite popular to drag one plot across several movies (Twilight) rather than have distinct story-arcs (Die Hard). 

That's a wild guess though, I could be completely off track.

That is awesome news. Although I hope it's a little more doable than the HD collection plats…

Hey man, I can still help you get some of the trickier challenges like multi-kills. I boosted most of my kills against an idle console but those need at least three people in the match.

Another serious session done in Resistance 2. Got a solid team of five from APT and we had randoms joining in all night. Managed to get through quite a lot! Tomorrow night is for Space Marine!
